When I first connect it takes about 3-4 minutes for my character selection to load then any character, regardless of realm, and after about 2-4 minutes at roughly 70%, says character not found.
Tried multiple realms, creating new characters, restarting computer, restarting app, reinstalling, disabled addons, restart internet.
At this point is it really a me problem or is it on Blizzard and I have to wait for them to fix something?
I am having the same issue. All my characters cannot be found and if I try a new one, it says character creation timed out. My husbands account next to me has no issues. Frustratingā¦
Same problem. First time Iāve had this happen (and clearly, since Iām posting here, my network is working). I checked the realm status and all looks good, but the last three times I had an issue logging into WOW, they showed all green as well, so Iām beginning to think they are very limited in their ability to detect issues.
First connect (even after a complete restart) and I get to a 70% or so status and then get a black screen. After a while it loads and shows my character. Than I select that character to play. It again loads, and after about 30 seconds or so comes back with the error that it canāt find my character.
In addition, the WOW app on my phone canāt load my character. Sounds like a server issueā¦
Interesting, itās the first time Iāve posted here and Iām noticing that it has my username and character name/level incorrect. Iāll have to look into that as well, apparently.
Same problem here, Iāve tried disabling add ons, restarting launch, and restarting pc, nothing works
I cannot log in, or create a new character or even log into a different server and log in always same message

I have moved AddOns folder to a different directory.
I have moved WTF folder to a different directory.
I have tried multiple characters and multiple realms.
I have tried creating a new character. It gets ācharacter creation timed outā.
I CAN play PTR on the same computer.
PTR WoW and Retail WoW clients are on the same drive on this computer.
I am NOT trying to play PTR and Retail at the same time.
I am posting from this same computer, I can also watch Twitch and YouTube, so itās not an Internet connection issue.
Another thing I noticed was that the switching from one realm to another takes an extraordinary amount of time (>minute). I thought this maybe another network issue. I thought it could be (eventually) populating the list of characters from a local cache.
So I moved the Cache directory to a different directory. The client was still able to populate the list of characters after that.
But any attempts to login still result in āCharacter not foundā message.
I have now tried to create a character on a realm on which I had no characters before.
The character creation succeeded. But tying to login this new character resulted in āCharacter not foundā message.
I have also noticed that the new character creation screen did not have the option to create any of the allied races I had unlocked.
I also get the same error when I try to login on another account which has no subscription. I tried trial (level < 10) character on it. Attempts to login on the trial character on a different WoW account (but attached to the same battle.net) result in āCharacter not foundā error.
Yep, same problem here. First I was having trouble with pet battles that wouldnāt start. I have removed all addons, completed a full UI reset, tried creating a new character, restarted Battle.Net, reset game settings and restarted my PC, but still getting the ācharacter not foundā message when attempting to logon.

Yes, the 1st sign of problem was trying to learn a new pet for me. I got kicked a few minutes later.
Yep, exactly the same for me. Iād just picked up a few new pets and was trying to learn them. They eventually activated, but after that I couldnāt start any pet battles at all. Couldnāt even use stones to level them up.
Same problem. My friend was able to log on but I couldnātā¦ same server.
Did scan and repair and didnāt resolve the issue
Same problem here. I can see other friends are online, but I keep getting the āno character foundā error and canāt log on
Gawd so sick of this, I only get to log on when Iām not at work, and not being able to is a major annoyance.
I hear New World is gonna be great, guess Iāll be going there for my future leisure activities

Pet Battles not loading, then kicked completely after a minute when I tried to learn a new battle pet that dropped for me a while later.
Turning off Addons, restarting PC, modem and router havenāt worked.
Created a new character on the same realm. That character not found.
Same is happening to me. Restarted everything, renamed appropriate folders, still the long load time until Character Not Found error.
