Hi all, I plan on making a tauren character and I am not sure about the “rules” behind surnames… Must my surname be an already existing one? Grimtotem, Runetotem, bloodhoof, etc? or can I make one up? Thanks!
I think as long as it sounds tauren-ish it should be okay,it’s not restricted to purely those three surnames. Some will go with those,some will get a bit creative and make an earthy surname and more often than not make it work IE-my tauren monk if he were an RP character would be Uradahm Rockstrider. So as long as it isn’t remotely offensive,go nuts Hells,you could give them a different racial surname and say they were raised by said race! Hells, My bloodelf warlock Alutem was adopted and raised by an orc when he was 12 so uses his foster dad’s surname in introductions.
