Character limit and deleted?

I’m pretty sure it takes a few years of the account being inactive.

ok cool.
Im going to try to start playing again after so many weeks of a break here.
Just thinking about running old content and maybe leveling up a bunch of new characters to 49 and locking them, but Ive got so many now that I dont want to lose.
IF I can delete some of them and they arent permanently lost and dont count towards the 50 limit, that’d be great.
