Just like the title says; I really believe players should have the ability to choose their character’s handedness. I’m left-handed and honestly I hate playing as a right-handed character most of the time. It feels unnatural to me. It’s annoying to assume all characters should be right-handed. I often get confused about “main-hand” weapons because it’s backwards to me, and I’ve been playing for almost 4 years now. Anyone else feel this way?

Okay, I agreed with you until I got to this part:
Yes, it’s weird and awkward. But every MMORPG I’ve played has been like this, due to how weapons and animations are fashioned. Making two sets is time consuming.
But I would like to see the new watch be wearable on either wrist. And allow gloves and bracers to be separate transmogs like shoulders.

I wish, but then again I seriously doubt blizzard will make new animations for all the races and weapon types. At least I’m stabstab and not a hunter, so this doesn’t bother me as much.

I’m a lefty so I get it. But in the same breath, it’s just something we gotta live with. I made a thread about it too years ago at this point. I would love to be able to play left handed characters, but it is what it is.

I don’t think they’re assuming anyone wants to play a right-handed character over a left handed characyer, they’re assuming that most of the population is right handed, and at least in the US it’s true. As a right handed person I have no horse in the left handed race, I don’t know what it’s like to have most products be catered to people who use a different dominant hand, but the reason most things are made with right handed people in mind is simply because they’re more common. I honestly don’t think they thought about whether the dominant hand should’ve been left or right because for most right handed people, it’s not something we even think about, I’ve certainly never thought about the fact my toon is right handed.
I do hope one day add it for you guys though.

As a right-handed person, I wouldn’t even notice ‘left-handedness’ in a game unless it was specifically and explicitly pointed out to me.

When I was in kindergarten my teacher said left handedness was wrong. She didn’t want to have to teach me, the only left handed student in her class, how to write with my left hand. 20 years later and I draw, write, and color with my right hand; but I do everything else with my left. Ie. the things she didn’t teach me. Though things designed for right handed people I can use just fine.

From a technical standpoint, I imagine they really don’t want to go through the effort on every playable model in the game to have animations for left and right hand dominance/preference.
From a lore standpoint, it can be argued that the WoW universe is not our world and thus left handedness just does not exist.
The Titans deemed right hands are the way. To be left handed is to go against order.

The key to be left handed is to be really picky about the paper and the pen.
And then you stay real loyal. Almost cult like. I will only use certain moleskine books and certain pens.
It will be no others. This is the will of the father, Joseph seed. I have been on a farcry 5 binge play lol.
the paper used and the pen dry at a passable rate for me. To deviate from that path…gets the mark of the inky pinky lol.

Can i just say, the weapon slot says “Main-Hand” and “Off-Hand” just be glad the glad does not give you a damage reduction for using your “OFF hand”, I have played games that do, it even stats it is a damage reduction in the left hand. ( referring to another mmo i have played )

I can honestly say the world would move on and most people wouldn’t even care.
You’re playing a video game where your werewolf character carries two gigantic weapons and swings them at high speeds, and yet which hand that character favors is somehow enough of a jarring experience to your identity and reality to want them to design every race and body type with an entirely new set of animations?
