Character "durability" bug

I have a level 62 character that suddenly shows zero durability on several armor items + weapon. I’ve tried several repairs and having an NPC do the repairs. Nothing works to fix this issue, and it makes the character unplayable. So far, bug reports have only gotten me an auto reply with useless links to wowhead… anyone else experience this character bug ? this is the only character in my roster o 49 different toons that has this issue…

Did you try disabling all your addons?

Yes, but this makes little sense as it it not happening on any other character that i have, regardless of add-ons installed.

it’s not a “character is not high enough level to properly use the item anymore since the squish” issue is it? i had that on some toons where i had to replace gear until they leveled up again.

Did the character in question recently swap specs and might have a weapon equipped that it might not actually be able to use?

There’s also the fact that they added a level cap to some BoEs because people were wearing gear not intended for them. Check the level requirements on that gear.

No… there have been no changes like that to the character at all… same spec I have always been leveling her at ( fire mage)…

Only other thing i could think of is if your fire mage is wearing the zaralek caverns BoEs. They didn’t have a level cap before, but they recently added one because that gear was not intended for low-level characters. This causes your gear to appear broken because you’re no longer able to equip it.

No…she was using them all just fine last week. :slight_smile: It’s maddening. I have had to replace some gear at the auction house simply to get rid of the bug… but much of the gear is at completely inflated prices, OR requires level 70 to equip… that’s a long way from level 62.

Im sorry…I am not sure how to do that… I haven’t used Armory for years… quick instructions ?

I will have to check some of the pieces and see if that is where they are from…I don’t recall any of my other characters sending this one pieces like that…but I suppose its possible… thanks for that idea…

Try the usual suspects:

  1. Exit game, delete cache folder
  2. Disable addons
  3. Do a full UI reset
