Creating this topic because I have a lot of 58’s to 60’s that I want purged that I’ve deleted and not sure how long it takes for those leveled characters I have to be purged.
I don’t want them on my restorable list and I’m trying to ask the community or a forum GM if they are able to purge characters that are in the restorable deletion area?
For example, when I made a Dracthyr I think I must have around 8 of them, and ended up deleting them because I was trying different looks and names.
I won’t need or can’t restore any of them.
I also have a lot of other characters that I wish to permanently purge in that restorable area.
I don’t think that high level characters are purged. Well, not soon, anyway. I deleted a level 30 like 8-10 years ago and it’s still there and can be restored.
I haven’t actually heard of them doing this. Maybe? Can’t one just scroll through their deleted stuff and find what they’re looking for?
Then you are asking in the wrong place, try CS instead of GD.

just stop looking at the restore list, and you won’t see them.

As per support:
Characters level 50 and above (or who were deleted before the level squish and changes and were level I believe 30 or 40 and above under the old 1-120 system and which are grandfathered in) are kept permanently.
Characters under 50 are deleted permanently after no more than 120 days.
Blizzard support cannot remove deleted characters for pretty obvious reasons. Namely it’s a waste of resources for something you should hardly ever see and secondly because of potential abuse in the case of account compromises (which can on abandoned or forgotten accounts last months before being discovered) which would prevent recovery from dastardly unauthorized meddling.
I admit it is a bit annoying to have certain hero classes clogging up the restore screen (was the case with death knights for years) but clearly Blizzard is content with this.
