Yeah its a stupid bug.
Also no. PVE andies shoulda went PVE Day 1, when transfers were open or the 8 month period before the actual phase dropped. You are part of the faction balancing of the server you cant just leave.

That’s dumb. Sure my name is taken now since it’s very popular and I had to get it right when Living Flame opened.

90 minutes or so, i took my guildies’ names so i can return them later

some of their names were already taken so idk if they purged them or not, we got about a 50% success rate of the name being open

There is no name purge for recently created characters…everything created today will remain.
so many people are going to lose names to trolls its not even gonna be funny
someone reserved 37 names on CS…probably selling all of those names. GG Microsoft-Blizz, u guys did a great job on this one!
They should really just name purge all level 1 characters. This “if they haven’t logged on since day 1” nonsense sucks. They should also purge all names for toons that haven’t logged in for 2+ months no matter the level.

That’s basically what they did. If they haven’t logged in since phase 4 opened the name is up for grabs
