Hi ran across this today when trying to make a new character. When naming the new character I get the green check mark saying this name is available but when I try to log in I get that name is Unavailable. I’m not rushing the name and spamming the finish key. After if goes back to screen to chose my name it thinks for a second and then gives the green check mark again. Iv have tried it on a few names and I get the green check about 50% of the time. I have tried names that I know are taken and get the red check.
Bumping this. I was messing around on the character creation screen and got excited because it said a name was available. I spent a few minutes customising a character, entered the name again, got the green checkmark, and then when I clicked finish and it asked me to select Exile’s Reach or Ammen Vale, it said “that name is unavailable”.
I’m wondering if the checkmark thing is also checking connected realms and it says it’s available because the name is not taken on one of the realms. Either way, it’s misleading.
