Hey guys, I’m new to rp and I’m playing a blood elf hunter. I am stuck on character ideas for her. Can anyone shoot me some ideas?

I’d love to help! However, people are going to need more information on what exactly you’re looking for. Some jumping-off points, based around being a hunter ICly:

Mercenary

Tracker

Treasure Hunter

Animal Tamer

Scout

Marksman

You basically need a base, and from people could probably help a lot more.

Well the thing about RP, is that the character is yours, not anyone else’s. It kind of goes against the spirit of the entire thing to just give you a character concept to play out. Like I said though, I doubt anyone would be opposed to helping you build one from a base!

You can also base characters off of your favorite ones from other series. I based a void elf off of Azula from Avatar once. That said, people react better if it isn’t a direct copy and paste into the WoW world, so I usually try to base the personality on a character, but not the history. Then I come up with a backstory that would fit it.

If you have a character that is super arrogant, then why? Are they secretly insecure because their parents didn’t love them as a child? That kind of stuff.

I’ll make sure to come back and pop some concepts in if I think of any, if you’re still looking when I do.

I’m just gonna piggyback onto what Zenrao mentioned in regards to playing a hunter.

Classes like hunter and rogue leave a lot to the imagination when it comes to general ideas and archetypes. You can even go with more than one concept and blend them together!

For instance, Ashogah is a veteran of past wars but at some point in his life, he grew to love scorpids but he’d also act as a mercenary for the right amount of coin. In this way I’ve taken a warrior of the horde, a beast tamer, and a mercenary and rolled them into one character!

There’s a lot of room for creativity if you’re willing to see it and all you have to do is explore it. There’s a lot more in depth and character motivation stuff I could go into here but I’d rather not.

I’m leaning more towards beast tamer
