I like classic but there’s no way in hell I’m going to do that grind again. Not only is leveling not an enjoyable experience, and not only have I done it 3 or 4 times during vanilla, but the game is currently comprised largely of min/maxers.
If you enjoy that, fine. You do whatever you want.
But since a level 60 character in greens is no determent to other players, and since more than a few people have asked “Is it even worth getting into Classic this late” I do wonder if Character Boosts would be something they put in the game prior to the AQ launches.
That seems reasonable to me but I’m also not a Classic, #nochanges fan-boi
One consideration I do think we should consider is, if they’re going to do Classic BC, and roll the current toons over - ok maybe then no boosts. But if Classic is a museum piece, then we should get boosts for new blood.
Why would you want to do that though? Classic end-game raids are bland and easy, the PvP is wildly unbalanced, and it’s plagued by bot farmers. In my opinion the whole point of Classic is the leveling experience. I think if people played it solely for endgame content they’d be disappointed.
The only reason I’d want it is to do stuff with friends who refuse to play Retail for some reasons. They want me to play with them in the BGs but I do not have the time to level a toon there.
We just had this same war with the Torghast timer. People can play the way they want was the takeaway. So here it is from another angle. I say why the sudden hypocrisy?
I do, I explained the rationale here:
I played it when it wasn’t easy mode in 2005. Imagine thinking you’re a better player because you play this training wheels version.
I don’t play it. but that is because i don’t like the older versions. but i understand why people do, and don’t want the casual player to be rewarded just as much as the hardcore player.
if you really want lfg there are classic addons you can get that do that.
what is the point in leveling if you can just buy it. where is the mystery as to how someone got a super cool mount if the mount is just in a shop you can buy with real world money that anyone can get. it makes the whole thing pointless.
It was fun when there were lots of people leveling. I would get groups instantly, added a few people to my friends list, regardless of class because grouping made things easier.
