Character boost

Time to push up the gear score, Blizzard. 420 doesnt even get me into lfr.

Thx.

Instead of increasing the item level they just removed the “Raid Ready” marketing.

Shoot, now you have to do the weekly quest and maybe a few heroics before you can do LFR.

It was the cheaper and less effort option.

agreed. it should set you up with the current heroic drops at least (476)

Since when does a fresh character mean intro raid geared?

they still charge for it as if it was raid ready LOL! So just saying… If you remove raid ready, lower the price. if it’s same price, make it raid ready.

all of that, for 60$ too

hilarious that anyone even thinks to purchase a boost for 60$ when you can buy multiple insanely good games for that price, and you get a … ? max level character? christ

Why not? Everything has a price tag on it in WoW whether it’s time or money … and anyone in upper middle class and up look at that like pocket change.

I actually agree with this since someone will be paying with real money.

???

what is your point

Why? What’s so special about raids? That’s only one of the many things available in WoW. There’s questing, professions, gathering, role play, regular dungeons, follower dungeons and a whole bunch of new stuff coming along.

They specifically advertise 70 boosts as being raid ready.

if they added raid ready 476 id buy the bundle

okay, I am looking at it as a business strategy. Yes, it should still be Raid Ready - to me that is a grave error. Putting all that aside your comment:

When you look at Blizz from the business pov they market things many players object to - the store, the boosts, and anything (timegating) that keeps you playing longer in hours spent. You (generally speaking) don’t like some or all of it, but for them it makes sense to keep making money and keep the shareholders happy. Now think of Lfr’s and M++.

People make a conscious decision on who to let in by there stats and gear level, (and also who to kick) to be successful and faster. Others suffer by this decision, but people/players are essentially doing the same thing. They aren’t thinking about being kind or helpful they are thinking about winning. They want it enough to essentially charge a price to get into a group.

Yes, there are multiple other ways for players to gear up but they want the quickest way. Your argument compares the 60 bucks to buying more games, but the player wants to play WoW at a competitive state. Blizz wants to make money at a competitive state.

As I said earlier if a player is willing to pay that kind of money then it should be raid ready as they are paying for the less time to be raid or m++ ready. Everything costs something whether it’s time or money to be successful. How people choose to be successful is a similar dynamic across the board.

At the end of the day you are still spending $60 on a game for your enjoyment. It is not much difference in that. And $60 may not be that much money for them to spend. Different income brackets and/or responsibilities.

that doesnt matter

60$ is an abhorrent pricing for a boost

Since Blizz introduced it for season 3.

I think so too but I am also someone with a $260 bottle of perfume, so I am all for buying what makes you happy if you can afford to.

i dont care if you have a $2,000 honda or a $2,000,000 lambo

thats not the point and you’re not understanding

60$ is ridiculous for a VIDEO GAME character boost when you can buy multiple games for the price of 1 character boost, while you’re paying 15$ amonth for a sub, and >$40 for each expansion. its ridiculous
