Hello Wyrmrest! So let me get down to the point, I’m looking for artists who are open Commission status to do some character art for me! We can discuss details through in-game whispers (Send me mail!)
Or, you can post here and I’ll go check your work out and get back to you. Thank you in advance!

I don’t know many of the artists on WrA, but I do know the website Artistsnclients is a good place to find an affordable artist through a safe channel. Plenty of people on there do WoW stuff.

I’d suggest OtterbirdArt on DA. She does the bast majority of art for my characters.

I’m a full-time digital artist myself, though I am not in game often yet. There’s a way to contact me on my webpage so we can discuss if you like my style.

What races? I find many artists have preferences or are more specialized in one over another.

Keep in mind many are low priced due to conversion rates, and artistsnclients takes 20% of the money you send them so it encourages artists to undersell themselves. It has always been tempting for me to put my own artwork up there back when it was a capped out $10 fine until I tried to report an artist for art theft (paint over/tracing other pieces) and aristsnclients said they wouldn’t do anything unless I had the specific order numbers (which get erased after 6 months regardless). So I would have to do their work for them in essence.
Imagine being an artist and your work gets stolen from a site like that and they won’t do anything about it.
And you won’t always get what you ask for. It’s happened to me and friends multiple times. It’s the safest way to get your money back if you don’t receive anything, but keep in mind you do not get the money back right away. It has to go through a process of “did they stop messaging you; did you receive artwork” etc. Many forget PayPal is usually really good about getting your money back too, if that is what you worry about.
deviantART is technically the better bet, but I would go for artists that have their own websites and order forms than a third party website that takes advantage of the artists.
