It’s toxic people like you that make me stay away from CB, I was going to have my Horde characters there but I ended up going to a pure PvP server instead as it was not worth it.

If you think I’m toxic because I’m not interested in throngs of abusive, griefing morons trailing behind some guy jabbering into a twitch account and none of them there to actually behave appropriately on an RP-PVP server, then bye.

I hope it doesnt die. Its a great server ATM and the vibes are immaculate. Way better than Crusader Strike. Remember that Grobbulus was actually a medium pop server in the beginning and that was when Grobb peaked as far as im concerned.

Lmao this is a flat out lie btw. Grobbulus had queues day one back in 2019 and got so bad they had to roll out Deviate Delight as the second RP-PvP server within a week.

And what happened to Deviate Delight? On life support by the end of Classic Era, dead in TBC, deleted before Wotlk Classic.

EDIT: Chaos Bolt might do just fine because SoD is a temporary seasonal thing so it might not last long enough for the server to die. But let’s not try to revise history by claiming Grobb wasn’t a mega server. It was ALWAYS a mega server. Queues were 5-8k back in 2019 and that’s why Deviate Delight was made in the first place.

I’ve only encountered a single toxic player on Chaos Bolt

I’m on Chaos Bolt too. I rarely have difficulty in getting groups, but this segment of your post I’d like to highlight.

I’m not going to name drop, but there is a guild I had been in who opted to kick my brother from them because he raided in a pug on his THIRD alt.

I got home from work and let g chat know how I felt it was really messed up and chose to take my leave.

An “officer” opted to pm me with, “you won’t be missed”. Followed by ignoring me before I could make any form of a statement to them.

Straight up coward.

Aside from this … person (I’ll let you insert verbiage to the missing section between), it’s been a fairly pleasant experience.

I share in the concern of the server going chest up too though. In the event it does, I hope Blizz allows us to shift to crusader strike without penalty.

CB > CS by a mile. If you want a way more apparent RP atmosphere with chiller vibes and people with high character, roll Chaos Bolt. End of discussion. I play on both cause i want an alliance and horde toon. Chaos bolt is a better expierience overall

Grobbulus is a MEDIUM pop server. Why is there a 2 hour queue at 1200 PST? Makes sense that if the server pop says FULL, that the server would have a queue. Makes zero sense that server labelled medium, woud have a 5000 person wait in line in the middle of the day thru the evening.

Maybe now thats true, but in 2019 when classic launched, the servers were less layered and had a MUCH smaller maximum capacity. If only 10,000 people can be logged on simultaniously, then at peak times, medium pop servers can have queues. You can 100% have a medium pop server with queues.

As i said this WAS true in 2019, but blizz has since drastically increased layering and population caps, since thats what the people want. They want super servers. If absolutely every single person who plays on a given server tries to log in, there will be queues. Maximum concurrent capacity =/= total number of active players

If there are two islands, 1 with 10,000 ppl and 1 with 500 people and everyone on both islands are trying to get into a building(on each island) that holds 400 ppl, then people will be waiting on both islands.
