In Retail, everyone can change their own guild note.
In SoD, everyone can change their own guild note.
In Classic, only GM/Officers seem to be able.
I can’t figure it out. Any idea?

I can’t find settings to change it, at least not on the anniversary classic server that released recently. People have been trying but failing to modify their notes unlike SoD or Retail where it is ez pz.
You figured it out. Most Guild customization came in Cata.
Dang. Weirdly enough when I played Hardcore at some point, everyone could change their Public Note, and we’d get people overwriting everyone’s note with advertisements to their Twitch, and so on.
I love to see what people put on their notes so it is a shame, but thank you for answering. Maybe Blizz will change it like they did dual spec in the anniversary realms. Fingers crossed anyway.
Pretty sure the GM has to unlock the ability by adding it to your rank. Otherwise, they hold the power. It’s to keep people from putting inappropriate stuff in there. That’s if it still exists in this version.
