Changing font after 8.1

I changed my font years ago by replacing files under the “fonts” folder, and today after 8.1, all the fonts are restored to default and I am unable to change it. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

I am. I hate that crammed up font in the chat window and that lame over the top mail font.

FIX:

Move your Fonts folder into the retail folder. WoW is now located in that folder, because reasons.

I have the same issue. I really dislike the normal fonts in the game and went so far as to make my own for my game.

Just to add, there are NO font files inside the game folder (in program files) except for the files inside of the font folder, which do not appear to be used at all.

I can confirm this works. I’m guessing they just use the system fonts now by default since they did not include a fonts folder in the new game folder.

When I scanned for TTF files I noticed my addons were in the retail folder but I did not put it all together. I was expecting to find a new home for the fonts and just ended up confused lol.

YES, I can also confirm that copying the Fonts folder into the retail folder, WORKS!
