Changing Covenant

Why is it so damn annoying to do? Nobody likes waiting for a weekly reset to then get another quest to do a bunch of boring tasks just to join back a covenant?

I went back to night fae, now the guy from Venthyr doesn’t even want to hear about me joining back. Do I have to wait for weekly reset until he wants to speak to me about joining back?

This is so lame.

Meaningful RPG choice or whatever nonsense it is called.

meaningful choices until you need to forget all about them so they can sell you the next xpac with the next temporary gimmick

At this point, WoW became a trashy mobile phone game. They should just embrace it and ask for $ to get to the covenant switch immediately.

Sick of this game, and all of its anti-fun mechanics. I’m trying so damn hard to enjoy it, but they make it so difficult.

You have to wait another day. Not tied to the weekly reset.

Also, people have some very low tolerance if that is considered so damn annoying.

this looks like a BTS club, one complains and all the stans come and join the complain. Covenant swapping takes a week, and you keep the stuff you leave when you come back.

But you know, everything modern is bad, we should play tetris

To rejoin a covenant it takes 2 weekly resets. Each week a different quest to fill it to 100% doing stuff in the zone… So you could do it in 2 days if you do the first part, weekly reset is same day, than do part two the next day.

As others have said MEANINGFUL CHOICE except it just leads to regret and salt

Doesn’t even take a week, takes like 3 days and most of that is waiting for daily reset for quest to show up. Outside that it’s a “fill up the bar” quest that’s no more taxing than standard play is.

But yeah, outside that you are right, lol.

No it does not.

I changed from Venthyr to Kyrian on a Friday, decided I hated it and started the process to go back on Sunday, and on Wednesday I was Venthyr again.

Oh look, a weekly reset lol

If you want to join back a covenant you had previously left before. You have to complete that regain trust quest. And once you do, you have to wait for the weekly reset to get the second part.

Coincidental. It is not tied to the reset day. That just happened to be when I changed.

You are welcome to look it up on WoWhead.

Blizzard answered this question before Shadowlands even released.
there’s a cooldown period between swapping covenants…

This is Blizzards stance:

Rejoining a Covenant you had previously belonged to is no small feat. Since the previous Covenant feels that you committed an act of betrayal, you will be required to prove your dedication to them once again. In this case, you will need to complete two consecutive weekly quests before you will be allowed to rejoin.

So in otherwords, there’s a 2 week cooldown between swapping covenants.

Literally says takes two weeks to rejoin it was not a coincidence

I didn’t read the complete litterature about the stupidity of the covenant design. But, yeah. I’m asking on the forums. I appreciate you letting me know. But do you know how long it takes until I actually can switch back?

Because right now, the General Draven dude won’t even acknowledge that I left his covenant. lol

This is at least a 2-day wait, by reports of players who have done this according to wowhead

2 weeks

maybe if you’re lucky they reduced this, not sure, as some players report it’s sooner, but not sure who to believe.

However i’d probably beleive what’s in wowhead’s guide which also mentions 2 weeks

Gosh. >_< I guess it’s for RP purpose? Anyway. Thanks for the info!

Blizz would rather you re-roll than Covenant hop.
