Changes to Purchasable Game Time Options

How can I be a casual but live in a basement. I wish people who personally attack me put some effort into it instead of using buzzphrases.

Thank you.

Oh, and no.

No one is forcing you to stay or play. If you do not like the pricing method you are free to leave at any given time. I donā€™t understand why people demand business to operate the way they think is right. They should just open their own business and do things their way.

And this is why youā€™re wrong and Iā€™m right.

No oneā€™s forcing you to listen. Just make it work. You can do anything. Stop limiting yourself.

You know what, you are absolutely right. Iā€™m gonna go get some transmog pieces and leave this complaining echo chamber. Go pat yourselves on the back while I actually play the game and have fun. Bye bye!

The one month recurring sub is not going away. If you read the announcement at the top of the page, you will see the subs are not being affected. The only thing being affected is the game time blocks that players could buy in the blozzard store.

They have not removed the 1 month re-occuring sub Thimmar. None of the Subs have changed.

What changed were the game card/time block options. Those were single purchases, not re-occuring.

Oh sweet nice. Iā€™m still not resubbing though :frowning:

According to people Iā€™ve spoken to, the objective was actually to impact botters and hackers, since purchasing game-time through the store was their main method of keeping their accounts running.

Obviously, it has the knock-on effect of harming legitimate subscribers as well, and thatā€™s why Iā€™m opposed to this change even though I understand why they made it.

It may be released on phones by then too.

Would it be possible for you to cite some sources for this being done to impact 'botters and hackers?

I cannot, as the person I spoke to did so under the protection of anonimity. All I can tell you is that they work for Blizzard, and theyā€™ve informed me that this decision not only brings game-time purchases on the Blizzard Store in line with game-time cards sold in retail outlets, but it was also a move by security to impact botters and hackers.

They also stated that they do not like the knock-on effects themselves and how it is affecting legitimate players.

How exactly does discontinuing the 90 and 180 day time purchases limit botters? Were they scooping up all the 6 month cards at Best Buy?

Itā€™s his dad. His dad works for Blizzard.

Considering my dad is 70 years old and lives in the same town I am, in country New South Wales, and needs help using apps on his phone? Thatā€™s not likely at all. Until recently he thought playing video games was a waste of time.

I guess Iā€™m not a legitimate player since I was buying 30 days time in the Blizz shop. I also donā€™t have AOTC or CE on my main yet, but this is obviously the final gate that I cannot pass. Oh well.

Lol dude we get it, you hate shadowlands zones. No need to hijack this thread to complain about it more, you made your own topic for that already.

Unfortunately, unattributed scuttlebutt is just hearsay, and is just as likely to be disinformation or misinformation as it is to be the truth. Iā€™m still looking for someone who can cite a source where Blizzard has said this was the reason for the change.

This is going to result in less new players picking up WoW, or less veteran players returning to the game. Improve your game if you want people to continue giving you money, Blizzard. Donā€™t try to coerce people to pay for a game that they may or may not be playing.
