Sooooo how we feeling with the smallest section of notes for the 12.1, I was so excited to read it and how long and drawn out everyone sections seemed to be. Then I got to warlock. At least the AFF tier set bonus reads pretty good.
Got to Destro, didn’t see Shadowburn going back to TWW any HP cast, audibly sighed.

Pretty confused about the blackened soul redesign. It’s listed under the general warlock portion and not under destro, so for the redesign only including chaos bolt and shadowburn im wondering where that leaves it for affliction
I’m sure its just a really early release of the notes and they are still missing a lot of information and still working thier way down to Warlock when and if they have time for it.
Pretty disappointed tbh. Really want them to revert to the war within shadowburn.. let’s hope this is just early and they are still working on lock but tbh I’m not holding my breath. It wouldn’t surprise me if new patch comes and we don’t see any changes to warlock

The AFF tier set bonus is attempting to fix the problems with AFF talent tree without actually changing the talent tree. Which makes me think they know there is a problem with it they just don’t know/want to fix it. I think AFF should be good after you get your 4pc
Ill be blunt.
Im pretty devastated that there werent any changes to bring AoE and ST builds closer together. Even something as simple as putting Sow the Seeds higher up in the tree.
I was also hoping to see changes to Maelfic Grasp.
So either theyre happy OR theyre still working on Aff. 0 changes is a little bit crazy.
But as if this moment, im not super happy

im pretty sure hellcaller is gonna be dead until they buff the blackened soul damage by like 500% or something lol, even then its not gonna be worth taking over soulharvester in any content xD

I mean, you just have to look at the pages of notes the other classes got, and then you get to warlock who are lucky to have a few lines as an afterthought.

Given the recent lack of interest in anything warlock related, outside of nerfing seemingly every ability, its hard to not have this attitude.
you have little faith in Blizzard. There will be changes to warlocks. but all of them will be nerfs.

You right, we should have dark pact nerfed by 50%, aura damage nerf 25%, double the cast time on everything, maybe then destro at the #1 spot of first blood in solo shuffle, can increase its 68.5% kill rate to 80%+ and we can get even lower on M+ representation too until they just kill the class
The changes in the latest build are, well, yeah. Go us, I guess. Affliction and destruction definitely don’t need any changes.
They are well aware of its issues. We won’t see a tree update until the next expansion . Gotta keep you coming back!
