Changes needed for arcane

Base changes:
Arcane Blast damage increased by 5%
Arcane Explosion damage increased by 10%
Arcane Power cooldown decrease to 90seconds

Evocation’s cooldown resets when you exit combat. (Needed so bad for mythic +, a dps that needs to spend a long time drinking is not good in +s. Right now you have too go into mana conservation before bosses where you do terrible damage for a pull or two just so you don’t have to stop to drink before a boss. Sometimes having to drink between trash missing part of a pull, and the damage is not there to make up for this downfall, the only dps that has it. This change will still make it so you have to take time, 5-6seconds, to regenerate mana but makes it so mana doesn’t cripple you for m+)

Talent changes:
Enlightened damage increase to 12%, Mana regeneration increase to 30%

Time anomaly proc rate increase

Reverberate’s proc chance to 75%

Arcane Orb damage increased by 20%

Supernova damage doubled

May seem like a lot but arcane is not in a good spot.

Regarding Balance:
Preliminary results so far only include 3 days of raiding and Mythic+. That’s not much with which to base balance changes. I expect Blizzard will begin balance tuning over the next few weeks.

However, I don’t think Blizzard will want to do a massive revamp of each class. Instead I expect they will mostly just tune the global dps slider they have for each spec (the one where “all damage of a given spec is increased/decreased by x%”).

Given how arcane seems to be doing so far, perhaps it should be buffed. We seem to be fairly far down the meter in warcraftlogs rankings.

Some of your specific proposed changes sound fine, but others I’m not a fan of.

Arcane Orb is really fun to press, looks graphically interesting and is quite effective. This ability really needed to be baseline and now it almost is.

Buffing reverberate significantly might make it “must take” over Arcane Orb and I would hate for that to happen.

Regarding Mana:
We seem to be better off than in BFA when it comes to mana. Between mana gems, Arcane Barrage mana regen, and Night Fae cooldown reduction, I’ve so far found mana is almost a non-issue on AOE. On single-target, mana must be managed, but I still feel like I’m pressing barrage to reset stacks less than in BFA.

Before bosses, yes, we’ll likely need to sit and drink. But that was the case in BFA too.

As a side note, back in BFA I stacked mostly mastery for more mana. But my current gear setup in SL favors crit first and I haven’t noticed any significant mana issues.
