With minor effects on pve. Hopefully 3 pvp-only changes for a dead spec is in the budget now.

Explosive trap & Bursting shot now stuns enemies for 4 seconds and no longer deals damage.

Sniper shot now causes Aimed Shot to deal 20% of the enemy’s health instead while also increasing the range of abilities by 40% for 6 seconds.

Scatter Shot is now a Horror effect.
Honestly, there should be changes like exhilaration being lower cd and run while moving aimed shot etc but those would affect pve.
( Yes i know no 1 reads the forums let alone a dev, but i like to leave some sort of feedback when a big d poe league is on the horizon. )

I think Aimed Shot shouldn’t have charges or its cast time should be cut down to 1.5 seconds. Right now you can line things up pretty well in pve, but the charges and cast time really sucks for pvp. I think 1.5 seconds and no charges would be great. Maybe increase the focus cost by 5.

Of all the things I’d really love to see, the one I’d love to see most would be a pvp talent that made Aimed shot castable while moving but at a damage penalty. I dont think we have the tools to kite the way we used to, even with such a talent, against competant players with all the added mobility that melee received in Legion BUT I’d still really love to give it a try.

I dont see it actually helping MM. Aimshot needs to be buffed in pvp, after the nerf they killed it.
Double Tap is the reason Aim shot got nerfed in the first place.
Also agree, mobility and utility both need work.
Baseline stuns and something that will help a little bit with getting off huge aim shots and being LOS’d.
He is level 110, i dont think he has played hunter this xpac.

I feel like if they dont want to change the charges or cast time of Aimed Shot, they could consider casting Rapid Fire to grant one stack of Aimed Shot and decrease the cast time of your next Aimed Shot by 25%.
I could kind of see adding a very short stun to explosive trap and bursting shot (especially if the trap change was for all hunters specs), but I wouldn’t remove their damage. It’s not like they do that much to begin with.
I don’t see making targets randomly run away being a good thing with scatter shot. It doesn’t seem to fit the ability at all.
Sniper Shot… mmm yeah it’s currently so underwhelming. I don’t feel like the range boost is useful at all. If you did enough damage to get your target’s attention (i.e. target wasn’t a bear druid), they are going to be on you fast and the range buff won’t matter.
My suggestion for sniper shot:
- cast time and damage remains the same
- no range buff
- sniper and aimed shot can be cast while moving
- your abilities cannot be interrupted with spell-interrupt abilities (counter shot, counter spell, etc…) for 10 seconds after using sniper shot
? The only interruptable thing a hunter can do is revive pet?

The damage is too low to have it around, as it breaks CC thus you can break cc early, if you try to knock some1 off blades edge during a trap for example. Either the dmg needs to do %hp based dmg or no dmg at all.
Also if anything were to be buffed mechanic wise like cast while moving aimshots it would result in pve interferences, thats why i didn’t mention it. god forbid pvp affects pve 
If Aimed shot is to be non movable, it should hit HARD. Sniper shot being baked into aimed shot as a passive would fix this since everything in the game has an ridiculous amount of armor.

A good idea would be to change the level 100 Talent Piercing Shot to a passive where Aimed Shot ignores all armor. Losing Lock n Load would suck, but the damage increase would be worth it.
Would also like to see Tar Trap “ground” targets; targets effected by Tar Trap cannot use movement enhancing abilities (Singed/Cassiopeia in League of Legends).
Fix Bursting Shot to actually always work; fix the tooltip to display its range.
Change Trick Shot to be identical to Whirlwind - using it enables AoE.
Volley turned into a “Sweeping Strikes” / “Blade Flurry” ability.
Serpent Sting removed completely. Add passive Aimed Shot bleed talent - this was a thing before.
Aspect of the Cheetah, CD reduced to 1 minute
Steady Focus talent changed - After casting 2 steady shots your next Aimed Shot is instant. Still need a charge of Aimed shot - consumed after LnL.
All PVP stings changed. Example: Viper Sting changed reapply +3 seconds for every instant heal used. Removed via hard casted heal.
Ranger’s Finesse changed from aimed shot to Rapid Fire - every shot fired reduces CDs by 0.5 seconds
Trueshot Mastery changed - during Trueshot aimed shot is castable while moving.

These are some solid ideas.
Marks damage is actually pretty good.
You can see highlights on my stream of taking down dhs/wws/mages from 60% hp in a single Double tap Rapidfire and im not even using on use trinket or anything bursty.
What we lack is survibility and peeling, our only peel is 30 sec Cd 4 sec single target disorient and a 30 sec aoe knock back that hardly works half the time. if our healer is being trained we do not have anything to really help them outside of applying a ton of pressure that the enemy needs to gtfo.
For survibility we have a 2 min heal that heals for 30%, most time i use this to save my pet as losing freedom/ms and having to go cast revive pet is a pretty big loss over the minor heal, we also have turtle but any cc chain during it an we can get killed once it dropped if we got no heals before hand.
In a fast paced meta marks would be pretty solid as we have a ton of burst an dont rely on cooldowns to get off our combos, but because everything is live lords with insane ammounts of cc an defensives there is not a lot marks can do to compete with stuff like dh/dk/lock.
Every single hunter spec needs some attention in my opinion, honestly hoping we get to see something eventually.
Also hoping we get to see some better changes for our animal companions too.
