I did a name change in WotLK Classic and it went through, but in game it is showing the new name in some places and the old name in others(For example if I talk in guild chat it shows the old name, but the new name is on the roster). The old name is also showing on the character sheet. It’s causing issues with whispers and groups.
I am having the same issue on one of my characters. But I did a server transfer and a faction switch and it’s on Retail.
Same issue, seems to primarily be happening in the guild roster and chat though-- retail as well. Was showing an old server at one point too, and has shown multiple previous names.
Might be switching back and forth, as it started as one, switched to another one, and then the next day was back at the first.
