Change to Master Channeler NEEDED

Warlock are a big squish ball that heal itself but on smaller mobs that die fast or if you get unlucky and get a resist on your drain life it over you are dead. Drain life do not persist if the target die so we lose our only way to survive (the heal).
Why not make it like this, The rune would stay the same except this part "Drain life no longer provide it heal but grant you a UNDISPELABLE hot that heal for the same amount and last 15 sec ON CAST. " It not a big change but a big big qol that would help warlock.

it alredy undipelable as how it is now. Exept when your target die. that where the problem is as you get nothing for the rest of the 15 sec cd on it.

Warlock really doesn’t need this change at all.

All of warlock tank toolkit is around drain life. if it fails we are a worst worst bear druid without avoidance (dodges,etc). Making it so that the heal portion of drain life is constant will make it so we can survive more easily on pulls where mobs die faster example in a dungeon and on case where it resist.

Drain life needs collision especially for places like wsg and not go through walls

Literal tank mage with a pet complaining they can’t drain life through everything. Incredible.

it would not change drain life spell it would just add the heal portion to a hot when on cast so you would still need to use it on a target to proc it the same way.

Warlocks get melted in pvp from druids, they do not need nerfs.

Its a dot already limited by distance from target.

The worst thing is you cant really use the other runes for mitigation as it sacrifice to much of your main surv tool drain life. Dance of the wicked is a 5% chance for a low duration 5% dodges chance. and you cant swap the chest rune for the 10% additional crit chance or you lose drain life.

So even doh drain life shows a beam graphic as if was being channeled its not ? its just a dot? Or you have to stay channeled to the target? if so it needs to have some type of collision and not go through walls because once casted and channeled one can not los it and i see locks doing that in flag rooms all day in wsg But i could be wrong. Its what it appears to be channeled.

once casted it is similar to a dot and will pass through walls but is limited by the distance i thing it around 30yards. It also have a long cd 15 sec.

that’s my point u can be los in the flag room getting healed while one is trying to flee cant los that but that least worries only thing bothers me is a kitting shaman purging unlimited that needs a cd of 30 sec. Not even mad at locks that was just my 2lil cents in this post

I’m a Priest, and I can dispell the Master Channeler / Drain Life DoT off myself and other people. It is most certainly dispellable, unless they changed it in the past couple days.

I don’t pvp much but i could see how annoying it could be. in this case if the heal hot become something it could be made that it dispelable and in pvp it would be ez to counter it.

lol yes master channeler needs to be changed. It needs to not work in pvp. Meta lock 4 levels below me can heal all damage from a weapon swing before the next swing happens. It is completely broken and needs a pvp fix.

Lol i dint even know this as i dont pvp much. that really bad. warlock really get the short end of the stick in pvp.
All my view for the change are for pve.

This is easily rectified, choose a target for drain life more carefully! I can see the appeal of it giving a flat HoT on cast, instead of it being based on the channel but it ain’t gonna change. You need to learn to play around the 15 second cooldown.
