Okay here me out because this is a good compromise i feel. How about instead of the Fel Drake being the drop you put the Festering Emerald Drake in as the drop and Fel Drake in as WoW Classic mount.
This fixes several issues from what i have seen in the community, retail “OG’s” retain retail exclusivity while giving classic a way to get a mount they otherwise never had a chance to get.
The Festering Emerald Drake would come to retail like everyone is asking for.
I like your idea, because not only does it feel bad seeing something you paid a lot for be given out for free, it also means people who already own the Fel Drake get absolutely nothing. Not even a token to unlock some other TCG/Blizzcon/Recruit a Friend mount. Nothing, double whammy

Only because this happened to me with another mount I recall. Felt so special to have it but then it became available in shop down the road.

Murkidan? Isn’t that buyable or they removed the expension upgrade? In all honestly I wouldn’t be bothered if you want to spend money for it and it was available. I don’t have any desire to gatekeep fellow players from acquiring stuff.

I also think he overestimates how much people care if years-old event-exclusive vanity items wound up as part of some other promotion. I have the Stormwind Skychaser and wouldn’t care in the slightest if it was part of a Twitch drop or Prime Gaming reward or whatever.

Well ok if you want it this way, I say no because the way blizzard is doing it opens up the possibility of all TCG items and mounts coming back. Oh and for anyone wondering this guy has the fel drake already so he’s obviously very biased and salty.

I have the Ethereal Soul Trader. I spent a crap ton of real money to try to get it. Then I had to spend a crap ton of gold to get it in game, because the card wouldn’t drop.
They could give it away to everyone tomorrow who logs in and I wouldn’t give one crap if they did.
Since the doors are now open to keeping nothing rare/prized/exclusive I’d like to see the BlizzCon 2019 Virtual Ticket in-game goodies be placed on that Twitch drop list sometime in the near future. I was struggling jobless in 2019 and couldn’t buy the Blizzcon ticket, have been sad and regretful about it ever since… and so now that we’re going full who cares about what people have in an MMO I feel deserving of these “old items,” in exchange for keeping Swifty’s stream open for 4 hours in 160p 1% volume
It’s just funny and bizarre to see Fel Drake be given out for free by the same game that wouldn’t put Slime Cat in LFR. If we don’t care about how obtainable a mount is why isn’t Slime Cat in LFR?
Change it to the Swift Spectral Tiger and watch everyone freak out even more 
Also bring back the TCG with new tabards and mounts please
