I was thinking I would love if blizzard changed the rarity of items for example, LFR would only be blue and normal would be purple, maybe mythic could have a new colour. So there would be a little more prestige in getting an epic again. What do you think?
Honestly they just need to make all 5 man before m+ blue again. LFR could be blue too but I am fine with the heroic or mythic text inside the item for the rest.

Sure, why not, the core of this game is all about players making each other second class citizens anyways. So let’s make LFR items green, normal blue, heroic purple and of course mythic is orange/legendary. As long as the gear has decent stats, I really don’t care if the text is in pink. But I seriously doubt this will stop players from complaining about “welfare” gear.

Well that’s how I see it, I don’t do any high end pve so I would be making myself look worse, but I just like the excitement of getting a new piece of epic gear. It’s just really trivialised these days. Maybe I would have more incentive to attempt high end game if it was the only way I could progress. plus pretty colours

But making them all blue colored items? I’d be fine with that. And I only do LFR.
Basically I like how rare is rare in classic and I would like to see something similar in shadowlands. So when you get a full set of blues or purple you know it wasn’t easy
For me, the source the gear has nothing to do with it, it just feels really strange to toss truckloads of epic gear. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think at this point pretty much any given group of players ranging all the way from “what’s a keybind” to “I can tank a +25 key on a TI-86 with half dead batteries” are constantly vendoring and scrapping epic items.

They did that in WoD, didn’t go over so well
The color of the gear doesn’t mean rarity nor should it bother you if someone else has it.
