Yeah, the original designer of the hunter is probably long gone.
Even the survivalist spec relies heavily on its pet, and survivalist has the lowest survivability of all the melee classes.

hunters become rangers but demon hunters become demon rangers which sounds incredibly stupid. they kill demons, not wrangle them like cattle.
Demon Rangers sounds like an evil group of Power Rangers.

Please don’t, I make infinitely less sense as anything else…
But we REALLY should rename Marksman, they’re more an Archer or Ranger than they are a MARKSMAN. The word Marksman typically means something akin to a sniper or long-rifle man. Someone who scopes and snipes or uses a long range gun in general, MM Hunter is more in line with a DnD Ranger using a bow and animals (sometimes but not always) for combat.
Similarly we should really separate ranged/melee BM and or SV so they have their own options respectively.
Woodsman survival, not tank survivability.
