That would further hurt gathering proffs more than anything.
Already in wrath crafting proffs have a high advantage over gathering proffs to the point gathering is only really used on alts.
Giving proff specific bags means the bags are that much better assuming they keep the same approx value and that would be unlikly as the more profitable proffs such as enchanting jc and alch would get the most value.
Much better to have the bag the same for everyone that is fair.
The tank bags getting a nerf to alch supplys and giving a bit of everything like the quests bags would make sense. While as they give flasks add change for better stuff eg its about 6 flasks per 12 heroics now drop that to 2 flasks per 12 or one in 6 bags. Than add like lw leg enchants at 1 in 30 bags random enchants at similar rate and so forth.
Then they need to change the way bags are now even further. Because Alchemy is bricked.
Flasks go for 10-12g each, meanwhile every herb for 5-11g. Flasks should be 100g at least…
I honestly don’t even understand how Blizzard can be this braiddead “Oh hey lets give everyone EVERY SINGLE POTION ELIXIR AND FLASK”
They killed Alchemy.
Bags should drop EVERY PROFESSION mats equally. For every 10 flasks, I should have 10 froststeel tubes and 10 uncut blue gems.
That’s actually not true. As someone who has done 3 world tours, and leveled via dungeons the entire time. Ive seen leather scraps drop twice, and gems drop ONE time. But I also got over 20 stacks of healing and mana potiosnm, 2 full stacks of flasks, and like 20+ more stacks of elixirs.
So while there is a CHANCE to get something else, it’s like absolute DIRT comparing to how they are bricking alchemy
Flask prices now are not remotly indicative of anything.
Raiding are not open so no demand while lots farming gear so high supply from bags obv it will be messed. Demand needs to exist for price to go up from raiding, while supply needs to reach the real supply that we will see over the xpac from people not chain doing heroics which is already starting to slow with some people finishing heroics but also speed up a bit as the masses reach 80. Raids comming out will help with this again as raid gear will speed up gearing.
Yes I no there is limited chance to see other stuff from alch do read the post. I suggested a massive cut to the amount from alch even quoted numbers of currently flasks are 1 in 2 instances suggested a cut to 1 in 6 ie a cut to 1/3 and increasing the other stuff.
The change needed is NOT to make the bags less fair by making them base on proff. Its to make them the same for everyone but balanced between the proffs better.
Yes it should of been better done esp as there was feedback on beta about it.
Bags was fine for tanks making it all effectively one proff is not. It would be been better as raw gold or balanced among all proffs.
My fav would of been a way that took the ratio of tanks/heal/dps in the lfg tool looking for groups when the ratio of one is low vs the others there bag gets better and is only raw gold + pet/mounts. Where the gold is shown on the LFG tool updating every hour (locked if in a instance/dead unlocked if summoned for a sec). This way could of made gold high if really need more tanks or healers vs current dps to make a ton of groups or made it low if eg tanks are not in demand at the moment.
would be more comparable to blue gems than epic later on. As epics are not out at the start kinda a massive diff to be giving an item otherwise unobtainable compared to something that is quite obtainable. So ya obv would be a vary diff tone set.
The bags do drop blue gems as a note i’ve got a few. The ratio is just bad and to heavly skewed to alch.
ya its a bad ratio skew that is the issue not what is being droped.
It should of never been so heavily skewed to alch or only alch. While when they added the other proofs should of cut alch alot more and added more of the other proffs.
