Change appearance of Grand Hunt Companion

This task from the Traveler’s Log isn’t working. I’ve attempted to change the appearance several times, also without addons and a full UI reset.

This seems to be working for some people. The person next to me just did it and had his Bakar companion out like a pet battle pet. That requires a rare drop from a hunt to be able to do and I haven’t gotten that drop.

Is that a requirement to complete this Trading Post task?

Isn’t that just a companion battle pet and not the Grand Hunt pet?

Ahh, so that’s why it didn’t work for me… I got an item to change my Bakar to a different color, but switching between the two colors at the trainer guy doesn’t seem to trigger the completion for this monthly step.

Make sure to have pet summoned when switching his appearance.

I just learned that the “Change Your Appearance” Trader’s Post task is bugged for me. (I made one change–out of the 10 required–and it didn’t count. I guess I get to make a bug report about this issue. (So many bug reports, so little time… :roll_eyes:)

I got it to work when I was at the actual Grand Hunt location and NOT in the centaur town.

I guess I’ll need to head to the Grand Hunt location to see if my recently changed Bakar color will be tracked; as it stands, it’s bugged for me, too.

EDIT: I came in on the very tail end of a Grand Hunt. I got one shot in, someone blew the horn and I got the Grand Hunt spoils–but I didn’t get credit for the “Change Appearance of your Grand Hunt Companion.” :frowning_face:
