And design raid encounters to require more tanks and healers to even out the roles there too. Even out the roles required and there’ll be a more even spread of players playing each role. As is, you’re not very likely to get a raid spot as a tank main so you go dps but then when trying to get into dungeons, you’re less likely to find a pug quick as dps.
So, if the game is gonna have pugs, then the roles need to be more evenly distributed.
No thanks, it’s enough having to carry stupid dps as tank. Now you want to place those same stupid dps in a role with more mechanical complexity, you’re asking for disaster.

99% of raid fights are already “taunt swamp at X stacks” and the occasional “move boss from here to there”. Tanks would have even less to do if there were more of them.
If anything I’d prefer 10 man dungeons with 1/7/2. We have plenty of dps.

This sounds like it’d be terrible. The reason it’s made this way is because there will always be way more dps players than tanks or healers.

If you think it’s hard to find tanks and healers (likely tanks) as a pug now…
Just wait till it requires even more of them for group content!
Sounds like a terrible idea? Yep sure does.
Forcing more tanking/healing roles into the game won’t make more people want to play those roles. People who want to play those roles are already doing so.
NO, the holy trinity needs to be balanced to raiding more or vice versa.
Add one more DPS to the basic group structure. Or change Raids to require one more tank. The mathematical difference there is causing too few people to want to tank because there are only 2 tanking roles in raids.
