Champions of Azeroth: WoW D&D

So the only classic table top experience I have is with 3rd edition “Oriental Adventures” supplement to D&D, a water down homemade steampunk game, and Legend of Five rings which didn’t even use d20 that much anyway. So all of this 5th edition rules stuff I have no idea how they work. I physically own all of the WoW Tabletop books but that was out of collecting lore and character concepts.

But this homemade WoW 5e looks really, really good. The presentation seems on point and even with my limited understand of tabletop RPGs I feel like I got a solid grasp on what’s going on. WoWhead did a piece on it and I’m pretty excited on what comes next.

Would be interesting to see some WoW modules. Revamping Azeroth dungeons for a second time through tabletop!

Dive into the wailing caverns yet again to see what those secluded druids have been up to…

The Scarlet Crusade still lives on in the old, dusty ruins of the monastery library, where Raven Priests and deranged veterans of the Onslaught’s failed campaign come together and plan one final act of vengeance.

yoooo this is sick.

wish they had more than just the vanilla races, I wanna be a panda, but this is cool.

edit: me dumb, found the Outland expansion. Waiting eagerly for death knights, I’m sure that’ll be Awesome.

I actually find it sort of baffling that they haven’t released a “WoW RPG: 2nd Edition” or something. D&D is way more popular now than it was when they did the originals, by several orders of magnitude, and it’s not like they’d have a hard time finding talented writers, assuming they were ethical about it.

Hopefully this project remains active and doesn’t get C&D’d or anything.

As someone currently in a WoW-set DnD session, this is pretty neat. If I had more time, I’d look for a session.

Looks pretty great so far.
