They wanted to reduce key toxicity. So they add a 3x death penalty.
It has brought about some learning pains. Tanks are still taking excessively dangerous pulls in the hopes the aoe speed will offset deaths inflicted from unavoidable dmg.
Ah yess, that constant struggle - “Can I kill this massive pull before it kills all of us”
This affix is awful. It isn’t even about “git gud”. It’s about keys that were once timeable with quick recoveries no longer being timeable. You used to be able to release, run back quickly, go again, and still have the time and morale to finish the key. This affix takes that mentality and wipes its with it. What was the point? Mistakes WILL happen, no matter how good of a player you are. We all make them, and this affix makes them feel worse. Dunno what Blizz was thinking with this but it isn’t what people wanted.
Just so fun to have your key insta bricked because of overtuned abilities that have yet to be pruned.
I mean, you’re doing higher keys then you were this time in df, I’d call that a win, the dungeons aren’t overtuned much imo, people just aren’t thinking of the squish when comparing
Actually doing the same level keys, in the 18 equivalency range. The difference being a group wipe used to only be 25 seconds, not 1:15. Wipe twice on already tight timers and its automatically game.
Play perfect or don’t play at all seems to be the mantra from the higher ups this go-around.

This afflix is just dumb, a wipe or two is enough to brick a key.
At least make the spawn zones not suck if you are going to have challengers peril in. There is no excuse for taking the time to make flight paths to a boss when you can just spawn us at the last boss we killed.
I’d be rich if I got that deal.
