Does it consume your maelstrom weapon stacks when you don’t want it to?
Don’t understand the question. This doesn’t use MSW.

I believe what he is asking is: If you have 4 stacks of MSW that reduces the Cast time of CL and the CoD buff that makes CL instant will the CoD buff also consume the 4 stacks of MSW?

Ah dunno. Never made this. Seems terrible for enhance.
I would guess yes - I think that’s how it worked back in beta at least - consumes and buffs the cast. But my advice would be to never find out.
Chain heal is nerfed 50% for enhance whereas healing surge isn’t. So it’s pretty terrible.
Without MSW the chain lightning and chain heals cast with the -50% aura modifier that enhance has. And if you have the MSW stacks they’d be instant anyway.

It seems like it would use one or the other. If you get an instant cast and spend 4 MSW stacks, that seems like it would be a bug. They have to understand the amounts of overlap between 10 stacks of MSW, and an instant proc.

I really don’t know I don’t enhance and not near a PC to test it (normally I would just jump on and do it).
I am tending to agree that it wouldn’t consume both or there would be 30 threads about please blizz fix this already.

Yeah, seems right about the complaints, lol. I would google it, maybe look it up on wowhead and check the comments to see if anyone has said anything.
Yes, its not good for enhance.
It will consume all your stacks on either cast, making it so you can’t really build up to a 5 stack.
Its much more useful as Elemental.
