You thought you would get a finished quest lines after 20 years related to the nightmare? From Josh Burgerfield? From Josh “redone dungeons with retail lfr fights equals = classic+” ThreeTacofield?

It was brought up during the SoD announcement during Blizzcon.
Of course it was! They also told us this was going to be based on vanilla! That they had “lots to discover”! Josh Tubsfield and the interns three sure do love to make promises!

even if there wasn’t a continuation of the quest chain, handing over the chained essence in exchange for a really good necklace, ring, cape, or more useful trinket would have been something worthwhile.
It’s not related to this specific questline, but the Eranikus story does continue prior to AQ when we redeem him in Moonglade.
