Jokes on you. I have been Necro enhance since day 1. I preferred the flame shock button applying it only with PW giving you a way to bypass the 5 sec cd or so.
They made the adjustment because other shamans complained about not being able to streamline thier rotation. Everyone wants everything to go pew pew and they want it to happen with as little effort as possible

Ever run skybreakers on fortified weeks with venthyr? It’s POG AF. 3-4k HPS as a DPS.
And still less damage over all than current pwave.
I’ll say this much: I could see PW/CH being an octagon talent and CH ending right there. If you take PW, you get to take the talents that follow, which lead you to a capstone talent. If you took CH, you go take a different capstone talent path. Then tune CH accordingly to make it on par value with other things taken on its level.
The value CH has to me is less about AoE nuke damage (although it is valuable in M+ on Fortified espeically if you need to hit everything and leave a Flame Shock behind for a big Fire Nova); it is instead more about the healing nuke. There have been plenty of times where we had 3-4 people in our party about to die off, I hit CH and suddenly we’re back in the game. I said it in a different thread, but it’s like Ret’s AoE Word of Glory from BfA. It was a game-changer in M+.
CH against single raid bosses is a poor choice most of the time, but in M+ I have found it invaluable at times.

In season 1 and 2 maybe, but primordial wave for m+ and fae transfusion for raid have been far superior since lava lash flame shock spread and dual legos came in. Chain harvest is basically good for a meme build with SFD lego for fort weeks.
Not true. Chain Harvest is the go to must have for Arenas and RBGs.
So if you’re going to talk about it being a meme build in types of content (raid and m+), don’t forget to talk about the content where running PWave is the meme and Chain Harvest is dominant.

There’s enough interactions between spells for god’s sake. Every spell interacts with another to a point where you need weak auras to track when to press everything. Someone could be doing 50% less damage than somone else because they’re not pressing things in the right order. We don’t need more of this
Little dramatic here me thinks.

Using Primordial Wave effectively feels like work.
Before Lava Lash spread Flame Shock, I fully agreed with you. I played Necrolord from launch, and I absolutely hated Primordial Wave from 9.0 until 9.2. But Lava Lash spreading Flame Shock removes all the work from the equation.
Y’just Flame Shock as you’re moving to the next pull, Lava Lash when you get there, maybe wait to Lava Lash again if it’s a big pull and you procced Hot Hand, then Wave and Lightning Bolt, and enjoy your personal Bloodlust. It’s a grand total of one more GCD and hitting Lightning Bolt instead of Chain Lightning difference from our AoE rotation without Wave.
or zero extra GCDs if you use it instead of flame shock going into pull, and then spread from there. only real change is using lightning bolt instead of chain lightning to proc it.
