Chad's Guide to Split Pushing Raids

If you’re a Lemix Chad and want to solo split push to speed up raids without affecting anyone’s ability to loot or progress through the raid, this is the guide for you.

Emerald Nightmare

Step 1: Kill Nythendra, then…

Option 1: Go take out the spider.

Option 2: Full tilt sprint to the eye after Nythendra and engage immediately.

Step 2: While they clear the remaining two bosses, go kill Cenarius and start clearing Xavius trash. They should be able to loot all 6 bosses and meet up with you by the time Xavius spawns.

If you can’t kill either boss before people start jumping off after Ursoc, don’t bother. The eye is especially difficult to kill in time if you’re not a speed demon. Also, don’t go dragons, it will teleport people to you, and they will not be happy.

The Nighthold

Step 1: While the raid is forming, teleport to Nightspire and clear the Elisande trash to start the RP.

Step 2: Teleport to Palace Entrance and head over to Krosus. You can skip the trash by using Shadowmeld after the Searing Infernal. Pull Krosus as soon as you see them engage Skorpyron.

Step 3: Kill Star Augur asap

Step 4: Kill High Botanist asap

Step 5: By this time, the raid will be working on Aluriel or Tichondrius, meet up with them and clear the remaining bosses

In heroic, use 10m groups to minimize solo kill time. If you die fighting Krosus, you have cost your raid time and made split pushers look bad, please stop doing this. Again, this is for Chads only.

If you want to loot all the bosses manually, wait until the raid is over. However, as a Chad, you don’t actually need Bronze, so just summon your long boi and collect your loot that way.

I differ.

If you really want to help as a Carry on Emerald Nightmare, split to Il’gynoth and kill him.

Il’gynoth is the only boss that, even today, human bots still attack, ignoring all of the blob mechanics, even when he has a 99% damage reduction shield.

Yeah, the eye is the best option (option 2 above), but you have to be really fast to make it work. If you’re not a speedy boi, you’ll end up giving people a legitimate reason to be upset when they’re waiting to release after Ursoc.

Maybe split to Il’gynoth after defeating Ursoc it’s the best choice.

Also, list it as a split push raid so that the people who join that group are on board with it. If it’s not listed as a split push raid, then don’t. You may think you’re doing the group a favour, but your chadness is actually better served helping clear the trash between bosses so that everyone can take down the bosses quicker. Having said that, it is OK to split on the way to Krosus to kill the trash before Elisande and start the rp so that it’s done by the time the rest of the raid arrives.

Everything on my path that isn’t a boss dies instantly.

I just auto attack the eye. The blobs die instantly, and due to a fix, dont explode until they are under the eye, anyway.

Really? where did you read this?

People have been saying it since like, the second week. And have even proved it, by killing the slimes as soon and they popped up, and they just wander to the eye at zero health, before exploding.

I will try that today.

It was in one of the hotfix notes, and possibly a blue post somewhere.

I know the eye takes no damage from regular attack, but I have to hit something while I’m waiting for the blobs to spawn.

Also, wait for the horror to get to the eye before you kill it. It spawns a whole heap of blobs when it dies and they take their sweet time getting to the eye if they spawn further away.

Oh come on. Anyone that needs help with trash is not contributing anything to taking down bosses.

That’s great!

You know how like if you were to enter a current retail raid solo (and assuming you weren’t overgeared), you could easily be one shot by the trash mobs? But if you enter as a group, not only can you survive the trash, but with coordinated effort, you can contribute to the defeat of the raid bosses? Well it’s sorta like that with the undergeared or low vers players.

But it’s not so much about contributing as it is about participating. People typically don’t like being left behind. For some players, this is not only their first remix experience, but the first legion experience. I want them to have a good time too.

As I suspected, Blizz can’t be trusted in this regard. I left Tichondrius unlooted in a Nighthold run last week just to see what got mailed to me and it was just the bronze, motes, and fragments. Epoch mementos were lost in the Twisting Nether. So I’ll definitely stick to manually looting everything so I’m not leaving IP behind.

I personally like this strat:

1.) 3/4 the raid goes to Ursoc
2.) 1 guy goes to dragons

3.) 3 guys go to spider.

4.) a bunch of random people get teleported to dragons

5.) Raid kills ursoc and then jumps off the cliff.

6.) everyone dies at dragons somehow

7.) the guys killing the spider are super slow and we all wait around dead for like 10 minutes.

8.) Someone plays benny hill music

9.) Everyone comments on how fast it is.

That is my favorite way

Lol! I wish I could say this never happens.

This such a cope.

OMG I saved 1 min.

So excited to do it again in 24 hours to save another minute.

For the cost of 5% of your raid group, you get to skip:

  • Il’gynoth
  • Cenarius
  • Xavius trash
  • Elisande RP
  • Krosus wing
  • Star Augur
  • High Botanist

For each difficulty.

If you think that adds up to 1 minute a day, you might be the one coping my friend.
