CH guard exploit

Is people standing in the two spots in the inn to be able to attack people without aggroing the guards allowed, or is it reportable?

It’s a well known exploit, but it doesn’t garuntee it will work. It should be bannable, but it’s so widely used and too easy of a spot to climb into that it would hard to define the line that players need to cross to get banned.

That is safe spotting and is reportable.

All they have to do is kill you for stepping on that spot. Just put a death flag there and anyone who goes on it dies, and it deletes their hearthstone, breaks all their gear and sends them out to the edge of the map you can get to by swimming north from the hinterlands past the plagelands out in the Ocean. Applies evil twin so you can’t be summoned, and a 48 hour silence so you can’t teleport.

They made new black lotus spawns.

I’m sure they can put a single guard spawn next to the inn keeper.

If the said exploiter is a caster, just equip a engineer reflector trinket. Guards will attack you and the exploiter because some how how the reflector trinket creates a pathing to them

“Selling free summons to CH!” The chaos that follows would be legendary.

This question has been asked for over a month now. It’s reportable. It’s an exploit. Will Blizzard do anything? Sure, right after they ban the fly hackers.

So… 2026?

Is it violating something in the TOS?

It doesn’t matter if some player doesn’t like it. That isn’t reportable.

This is a GAME. EVERY player figures out what works and what doesn’t work. EVERY player figures out the aggro difference of mobs and cats and dungeon bosses and baby kittens and kung-fu pandas and whatever. You can’t call that “exploiting”, and demand that we all pretend this is real life.

They fixed sitting in the back of gadgetzan and everlook fireballing people out of range, this will probably be fixed in a similar fashion, maybe give the CH guards the ranged gun ability the booty bay guards have when you’re on the boat and attack someone.

Developers’ note: We’re seeing some players attack others by abusing line-of-sight rules in Gadgetzan. This disruption is against our Terms of Service (as it was in 2006) and we’re taking action against players who exploit this game mechanic. While this new range differs slightly from orginal WoW 1.12, it better enforces the authentically intended consequence of PvPing in a goblin city by challenging the attacker to fight, die, or escape the guards.

The fact is safespotting is actionable. But another fact is Blizzard doesn’t care anymore… not about this, not about bots, not about fly hacks, not about Classic in general.

A terrain exploiter in WSG has been reported for over two months with screenshots and videos and he’s still at it. Blizzard used to have people taking care of these problems, but sadly, they no longer do.

Back when Blizzard actually enforced their own rules: https://i.redd.it/io13hcnk8kd41.png

So go ahead and bot, fly hack, teleport hack, safespot, sell gold, aim bot and anything else you want to do. Blizzard’s given you the green light.

This is a bit different since its in range of even melee and a easy spot for anyone to access.

Just report them.

“Safespotting / Line of sighting guards in order to not allow them to attack back. Not intended gameplay.”

You’re wrong this is against TOS and it is reportable. Have you not see the people getting suspensions over exploiting roof-top camp from the guards in towns / neutral places? Heck this forum is notorious for those who get banned to complain about

This is the silliest post I’ve seen on these forums in a while.

It is 100% against the EULA under Cheating. Feel free to go look it up. It is reportable and should be reported anytime you see someone safe spotting to avoid getting aggro from Mobs/Guards, etc.

Because it’s not real life and just a game there shouldn’t be rules to follow? It should just be the wild west and do whatever you feel like because you could figure out a way to exploit a bug that was definitely not intended?

You can’t be serious. You should probably go look up the definition of exploiting since I don’t think you actually know what it means when you say goofy things like this.
