I would appreciate a link to a source if these lay offs are new. If you are talking about the European employees that are taking buyouts, that apparently has been a regular practice of Blizzard for years.
In the long term I don’t really care about the money. It is what it is and it’s just something to do until I can get a job in my degree field of aeronautics. So yes I taught myself water treatment as well as getting a masters in aeronauticas and space studies. And yes I know they are two vastly different things. My greatest joy is knowing that people can just turn there tap on without even thinking twice about it.
What a pile. I am a vet, and you couldnt be more wrong. Ill go further, i am a prem disabled vet! My tours in Iraq, and one tour in Afghanistan have not netted us ANY market dominance. We took ZERO oil from Iraq, and nothing from Afghanistan. We just this year became energy independent, and are now the leading exporters of oil and natural gas in the world. So HOW did my service, and subsequent prem injuries contribute to that?
Im living in a permanent hell from my injuries, and do not regret a single moment of my time serving. Believe me when i say, i have lost FAR more in my life because of these injuries, and still do not regret it.
Come on man, you all sound like socialist wannabees.
Just stop.
All of us? Even me? Man, I just asked for a link. Now I feel like crying.
So if you’re energy independent without exerting influence in the world why does US interests continue their meddling in Canadian Oil and gas? Canada cannot get oil to foreign markets because of US big business interference. They ship oil and raw gas to the states and from there we turn it into LNG and ship to foreign markets. As for the middle east, how can we support Saudi Arabia with all the oil and smash any country that opposes them. You’re injured because you were used buddy, sorry to say but you still drink the Kool-Aid they trained you to drink
That’s how corporations function, Bernie.
I make 20k a year.
If I won 1 mill I would be set until I die.
Funny world we live in.
Tarc! Love the new look!
Thank you. Those are different.
That’s my pretty Dark Iron alt I just flip to sometimes.
I could never abandon the metro-fabulousness (Google says that isn’t a word, but it totally is) you see here.
They didn’t send you there to stick oil in barrels and ship it home, you fought to make sure the petrodollar survived. Of course it was about resources, just not in such crude, literal terms.
A massive portion of American wealth is tied to that. It’s the reason the US dollar is used as the world’s reserve currency. If they lose their hegemony over the market, a massive amount of American wealth gets flushed down the toilet.
I mean…they haven’t made any real money in a while. At least from Blizzards side.
The sales of card packs, cosmetics in OW and a few mounts in WoW will only get them so far. Assuming that the drop in subs is big, I’d say the revenue was far less than income.
But that would be “wildly theorizing” on my part and could be entirely inaccurate.
Edit: This is just gauging from online trends
There comes a point where you have to wonder why they need more money.
I would love to understand how that would “save” the country.
Because they’re the human equivalent of dragons hoarding gold.
They don’t need it, but by god do they want it.
LOL… the same thing has been happening as long as there have been corporations. Guys at the top calling the shots aren’t going to take a hit when they need to make cutbacks. It’s all about stocks and shareholders, not about the guy in the mail room, regardless of how important his mama told him he was.
Typical demoncrat…blame Trump blah blah blah. CFO’s have been ripping off their employees for quite some time.
I wonder if chinese laborers sit in their factories pondering why Americans need $15 an hour minimum wages
