dont know why this was flagged and removed but im asking until i get a fix cause this is just annoying to not know why this is doing this:
this is an odd thing but i noticed something on an alt: now im not much of an altoholic so i spent alot of time on 1 character, my paladin in this case. i happen to log into an alt and for the first time since i can remember i saw the services channel spam hit me. i realized i never saw it on my paladin, despite multiple differnt attempts to get it to work like turning off addons and resetting it simply refuses to work at all. i went on to other characters and it works on some but not all and its quite confusing as to why.
i completely uninstallled, reinstalled, login with no addons or anything still not working.
There’s some guides there you can try. This isn’t really a Tech Support issue though as it’s not hardware or connection based.
If the above doesn’t work you can try maybe UI + Macros forums or potentially actually bug report if you feel it is a bug. It would be a little odd for it to just be on one character but not unheard of.
Are your characters on the same realm? Some realms have super active chats, others are non-existent.

no its not a server thing, 1 character on arygos cant see trade/services while others can
no its not a macro thing, i dont even use rez/lust announce macros nor did it work on a completely fresh install so i dont see how its a UI thing
No, you didn’t say what specifically you had done of the steps in the article. You said you had redownload the game and logged in with no add-ons. There’s more steps listed in the article I posted.
There are a few more basic trouble shooting steps in the EU Thread I’ll link below.
You can also log into the char that can see chat and take note of it’s chat settings and compare them to character that can’t and see what’s different.
Again though, this is not a technical support problem, it involves the UI of a character. Thus the UI and Macros is the correct forum. There are more knowledge people that are focused on that aspect of the site there.
