Anyone have an idea if theres any Central Standard Time servers? Or are they just locked to East/West coast server time?

I don’t understand people’s obsession with being on a server that matches their time zone.

Agreed. It’s weird. As if they think raids start at a specified server time no matter what is convenient for you and your guild.

For me it’s less about being on a timezone match, rather it being closer for my ping.

Exactly, your ping time is increased on different timezones. This is a known fact.

Server time zone does nothing for ping. The NA servers are either in Chicago or LA.

I pinged their servers the distance they are away from me increases the amount of jumps I have to take. Which increases the ms.

You have ping to Chicago and you have ping to LA. Pick your server based on location not time setting.
Yes Chicago is in central time zone. But Blizzard has arbitrarily decided to set Chicago co-located servers to eastern time.
Play on a NA EST server. Those servers are located in Chicago (CST). Your problem has been solved. Good day to you!

Eastern servers are located in Chicago I believe anyway.
Look at the damn title of this thread. Some people want central time set servers because they have some weird idea that it make some kind of difference.
I stay in south Texas. I ping LA and chicago and the latency is kess than ideal to both locations.
