Allied race or Core race, doesn’t matter. Would be an interesting concept to have a Centaur type of race to play within the game. I understand that they would have to get around the whole four legs bit but I’m sure some good old magic transmogrification would do the trick! I mean, the race could have a type of similar trigger method like Worgens of changing back to their Human form so maybe whatever Centaur race comes in the future can be a magic base so they can pull this off, that is if they decide to. They could have another option of travel while on foot or have another method to fly if they decide not to magic shift to a different form to ride things.
Maybe not the Deer Centaurs within game (Driads) but maybe those giant Cat like things instead? Could have them go down a path similar to that of the Pandarians in choosing sides

The problem with transforming like Worgen is that worgen were originally humans and centaur races are just born like that so they don’t have the ability to do this. Keepers of the grove, dryads and centaurs would all be fun but they have the same problems as playable naga so it just isn’t likely, sadly. Though with the current power level we’re in line with dragons, and they have a humanoid form, so I mean. Playable dragons might be interesting
Yep, or less than two legs. Like naga. Unless they added some kind of excuse to give them a form with two legs, it won’t work, and I can already hear people complaining about the “lazy writing”
Ever seen the Naz’dorei concept, as playable Naga, on mmochampion? That would fix everything, to let Naga be playable races. And in the past, Naga were modeled to have the ability to wear armor, including leggings and “boots”…the leggings would be basically “painted on” textures, around their tail, and Naga would have invisible boots, much like Tauren, Worgen, Draenei, and Trolls have currently.
I would like this idea, Sir! That way, we wouldn’t need a new playable race based on them, but I think it would be great for Restoration AND Balance Druids.
It would fix it, because while mounted, Naz’dorei would be in Elf form, and the Naga form itself, could be designed not to have armor, except maybe a bra for the Females, and Elf form would have visible armor.
Yes I agree, that’s why I said Naz’dorei was viable. I just meant ingame current naga with no bipedal form are not. Though I’m not sure when you would enter the true naga form, if you had a bipedal one? For swimming?
