Censorship + ban penalties isn't the answer

Or they could just not be a jerk? works miracles

Honestly nothing has changed, this has been an issue sense before the legal issues. Blizzard has always been more about punative measures then rehabilitive measures with toxic players. There has never been communication in this area.

They should speak up and enforce more automated ban even if personal guild chat swearing or among friends (in group or messages) and such should not be tolerated that Social contract should be enforced more

well you can’t speak for everyone - some of those things I really don’t care about.

But also calling people idiots and such even if your random pug and you say your an idiot and such it will flag you being abusive language/chat so keep to yourself not in chat

you are implying I do that stuff and I do not. I just don’t much care when others do it.

Probably we don’t play the same game. heavy censorship? for not allowing people running wild ? 40yo males who think they run the world ? give me a break

But as for now on Blizzard cracking down on popular servers and getting people banned for abusive chat like words like idiot, bastard and such even if directed at someone they will get an option to report that which will trigger an automated temp suspension to person who said that/or you

I have actually turned off all of my chat channels and notifications in the game since day 1 of TWW.

I can honestly say that my experience in game has been 80 percent less stress. It’s like, fresh air from not seeing the toxicity on screen.

Still people break the rules/social contract everyday in /1 and bg/pvp’s area

Then report them

The reality is you need people to fund this game, even the ones you don’t like. Every ban is a loss of incoming monthly revenue, plus possible shop, services, and future xpac purchases.

This completely ignores that a trash community also drives people away.

You also seem to ignore the fact players have the power to ignore others and control their communication.

Why don’t you try it then?

Psst…this is a 7 month old thread that someone necroed for no reason.

Then let the game die. If they’re so critical, I’d rather they not have an outlet that is permissive to them just because they are holding the game financially hostage.

Ppl behave through consequences, there is no real life consequence for being toxic in video game lolz, so Blizzard opts for these tactics, apparently its working cause you don’t want it .

cenorship in every form is bad.

Someone should sue them for adding sexual puns to world quests and for the usage of wording in tooltips for junk items, as well as for adding sexual imagery throughout the game. Fly from Dorn to the ringing deeps and tell me you don’t see anything suggestive. I’m sure a court would find some of the items, dialogues, and themes in the game to be sexually suggestive.
