Whatever flags someone as aggressive is exceptionally naive.
Situation 1:
Stand in Cenarion Hold. Get attacked by an enemy player. Do not attack the other player, only heal yourself.
This is an aggressive action. The guards will kill you.
Situation 2:
Stand in Cenarion Hold with a friendly player. Friendly player gets attacked by enemy player. Friendly player does nothing, but you heal him.
This is an aggressive action. The guards will kill you.
Situation3:
You’re an observer of situation 1. You rez the poor guy who was killed by the guards for doing nothing but heal himself.
This is an aggressive action. The guards will kill you.
Expected Result:
If you do not hit or cast any abilities on an enemy player, your actions should not be considered hostile by the guards.
I know the mantra is that Blizzard will not interfere if there is a pvp solution to a problem. However, there is no pvp solution to this problem. If someone attacks me in Cenarion Hold, my only recourse is to stand still, do nothing, and hope that the guards blow him up before he finishes me off. I can’t even heal myself (accepting the guards will aggro onto me) and then run away… the guards will chase me down across all of Silithus.

this is the normal expected behaviour, outside of situation 1 healing yourself with no thorns effects on you (thorns effects cause damage to your enemy which engage you in pvp combat) should not cause the guards to kill you.
Healing someone engaged in pvp combat is pvp combat, you’re assisting someone that has the opportunity to kill the opposing enemy/team.
If you could heal others forever and never get guard aggro that would be a bug.
Though I do agree rezzing and getting killed by guards is a bit stupid but i’ve had it happen to me before as well.
I could accept that healing yourself or a friendly player when engaged in combat counts as an aggressive action if the guards didn’t literally chase you across the entire zone.
The problem here is that if you are attacked in Cenarion Hold, the only ways to avoid death are:
- The person attacking you is killed by the guards before they kill you.
- Healing yourself through the damage, accept the guard aggro, and then manage to survive the guards long enough to exit Silithus.
There needs to be some reasonable pvp solution to the problem other than “pray” or “run across the zone in to AQ.”

Fly to un’goro and avoid the hotspot?
Or actually fix the uber, over-aggressive guards to not kill you for defensive pvp…like it is supposed to be, smh
