There were blue posts, multiple forum posts by players, reminders on wowhead, and reminders on the actual launcher.
In addition, they have repeatedly posted “ends January 6th” from day one.
Last night, I sadly traded all my celebration tokens in for TW badges. I will console myself with a new TW mount at some point. Ah well.
The event was up for months, plural.
I’m very sorry you missed the end of it. I very nearly did, too, and I missed an achievement b/c I let the time slip up on me…but that was my fault, not Blizzard’s, and I’m totally willing to blame them for things when they screw up.
The Jan 6 end date for the anniversary event has been announced, publicly visible on the calendar, and repeated frequently in news updates since the beginning.
People had like 3 months to get everything and cash out , no need to keep pointless vendors around any longer than they were.

Neither of them said anything condescending , you just took offence to them being honest about the fact it was around for months and it was a personal issue if you hadn’t gotten everything knowing the event would end.
No, you’re just not seeing it. Whenever anyone has a problem, this is always how people act; low-level snide remarks and then acting surprised afterward and leaning on the social norms they always abuse to make it look like it’s the other person who initially attacked them. I’m tired of the term “gaslighting” but it’s there. The total evil lack of concern for anyone else, the smug arrogance and feigned ignorance. Be glad you apparently can’t see it.

It’s more about you wanting something you can’t have because you screwed up. Just wait till Nov.
They won’t be used again. A blizzard post linked in the thread stated they will be automatically converted to Timewalking badges in 11.1

How exactly do you get any of that from people telling you the event ended and you had months to claim anything from it? You have a busy life , so what … you think other people don’t have lives outside of the game as well? If you weren’t able to get everything you wanted that’s all on you as the info on it ending was all over the place and you chose to ignore it.
Probably be 5 more years before we get an event like this one.
Well, why do you and some of the others feel such a strong need to chastise me? Where’s that coming from?

I honestly don’t understand how someone could be busy enough the entirety of an 11 week event or a good portion of it to somehow not actually know when it ends but not busy enough to have enough tokens to be worried about turning in tokens beyond the TW badges that are getting converted automatically

Exactly. It sucks but you snooze you lose.
you’ll have to wait until next year but you can transfer them so they are all on one toon. 
The bronze tokens are not going to be used anymore, per Blizz:

I’m more bummed that the xp/rep buff was removed. But we had it for 3 months, so I understand.
If you still have any they’ll be converted to Timewarped Badges with 11.1. 1 Bronze Celebration Token = 20 Timewarped Badges.
