Started using the new cooldown manager today on my enhancement shaman. In general I think it has promise, only…does anyone know why the earth elemental doesn’t show up as a cooldown? Instead it shows up as a buff which I guess it also is, but isn’t it mainly a cooldown? Is this just growing pains until Blizz gets the kinks out, or am I missing something?

There are some questionable decisions for sure.
Like for Brewmaster Monk, it doesn’t track Keg Smash’s cooldown, instead it tracks the duration of the debuff it applies (which is useless). And you can’t track Rushing Jade Wind as an ability, but you can track the Buff it provides.

It’s just rushed and poorly implemented.
idk if they know what half the stuff is supposed to be classified as.
like, on the surface it seems strait forward but in the coding, its prob not flagged all the things its supposed to be beyond its first version. i know of at least 1 thing that ignores the basic flags other similar abilities have and its been like that for about 4 expansions.
point is, things that can be considered more than one thing have a chance of not being counted as such by the game itself where as addons just made the distinction irrelevant since it could display it how ever you expected it to be.
