Right now my Scourge strike and death coil both top melee dam after about 10s on a boss, nevermind diseases and dearh and decay. Ret/War/enh/rogus are the same, several specials do far more dmg than autos though war and rogue go about 30% melee dmg just bc of how well those 2 scale with melee.
Hyperbole is also not an argument homie. If you dont use globals in live as melee Auto dmg would also be high. Speaking of live, auto dmg comes jn way higher or dead even from wrath in comparison to retail, moreso for my unholy dk considering how much damage comes from my ghoul. Not army or apoc ghouls, my perm pet.
Considering the differnce in how gear scales I’d suggest that HM Uldurar is probably harder than live myrhics.
I played Feral/Mage in TBC Arena (by no means an insane comp), and had a great time.
Yeah, there was 100% some stupid stuff. Doesn’t change the fact that the pacing and damage makes more sense than anything that’s been in Retail for like 5-7 years.
And Wrath is significantly more balanced than TBC, and people are rightfully excited for it. A lot classes just “feel” good. And that feeling isn’t something retail has replicated in a very long time.
Comparing BC to Wrath:crazy_face:. Completely different…I’ve never met anyone who thought BC was the pinnacle of pvp. Wrath on the other hand is viewed by many as the best pvp expansion. That and MOP.
This doesn’t invalidate that Wrath has infinitely more depth than Retail. Where there are a plethora of ways to play your character and make fun builds. Where there are class roles and actual depth to Classes/Specs. Everything from Gearing, Stats, Talents and gameplay is better.
I get that you’re a fan of addition but you will die of old age before you can count to a trillion, while multiplying will get you there on a smoke break
no you cant say that cause players today cant play a full 89 games or play 41 minutes a game 89 times like Wilt did. The rule changes allowed players to do more. You have to take todays player and put them back in time and see how they would do with the rules that Wilt had to play with. Ask them to play 41 minutes a game and play all 89 games and see how productive they are

At top end the skill level wouldnt change much from WOTLK to now, but the bottom end everyone has gotten significantly better than 15 years ago with information.

This is entirely my point. The game is different, most notable usage is way more under control than it used to be. Guys aren’t even allowed to play the minutes required to do things like wilt was doing.
Klay scores 60 in 3 quarters and gets benched. The game is different than it used to be, so its impossible to compare achievements, same with wrath and retail metrics.

Lol, it’s okay to like both versions of the game. You’re literally saying the same thing someone else is saying but for retail. Maybe explain WHY it’s seemingly clear that retail is obviously better? Is it more balanced? The gameplay? The comps?

True, cata and MoP are more complex. The massive leap forward from TBC shouldn’t be understated however. WoW PvP went from being a side activity in a PvE MMO to a potential esport.
