I have an old CD copy of World of Warcraft and it isn’t able to connect to the servers, it is running Version 1.9.4 (5086) (release) and has the date Feb 9 2006 i am not sure if this was relevant. i just want to be able to play, also the website that it tells me to go to gives me a HTTP 404 Error
NOTE: I have found a CD with a patch, I will see if this works and update this
Most installs originally did not include the app launcher. You can download that from account management, and is required to do Battlenet games updates.
You’ll save less time by using what little data has been unchanged since release as compared to how much time you’re going to spend trying to get it to work. Even the amount of data that wouldn’t need to be downloaded would be minimal compared to the entire size of the package.
Uninstall what you’ve installed from the discs and just use the Bnet client to install from scratch. All users, regardless of their account status, use the same client - you can’t opt out of content to save space.
