Do you seriously thinks blizzard is going out of their way to make ‘bad’ games ?
If a CeO told me that was his plan to make good games to make money I would be looking for another company to invest in.

except they don’t make any good games.
As much of a paragon as CDPR is, it will happen to them eventually. Once you make it big and you have stockholders to answer to, it’s an inevitability that you must put their interests above those who buy your games.
I’ve never played one of their games. After hearing his comments, I will go out of my way to try their products. That is some legit leadership at a time that the AAA industry needs some guidance.
Meanwhile, other devs do exactly what cdprojekt does without people worshiping them as the second coming of Jesus.
CDPR makes great games, they acknowledged their rivals that made RDR2 a success and to combat them they said they have to make good games to be played.
Bring the good games on, maybe it’ll change the state games are being released now, BFA included.
Idk how many people playing beta said it was gonna be awful but. It turned out that way
And Bethesda. And EA. And Sony
So the exact same response all video game companies give.
Examples ?
They’re also based in Eastern Europe where costs are a lot lower with a target audience which pretty much includes the self-professed anti-SJW oppressed white straight man.
Good games though.
All the money isn’t enough for some people i know a company’s whole motive is to stay profitable and increase profits but they way that games are doing this these days is just shameful in a lot of regards. I remember taking my sweet old time through the witcher 2 and loving every second of that game , and the witcher 3 rightfully so made CDPR massively popular. I hope other companies either existing or upcoming learn from these guys and not from the likes of ea, acitivison ect.
Given the rushed job BfA is, yes.
Bethesda still isnt publicly traded and CDPR isnt from the US so i don’t know if they can be forced to go public. They already have investors but the investors probably know the reason they make so much money is because of the difference between the games they make and the rest of the industry. The witcher 3 was a massive game to me personally before that game the only other company doing RPGS that big was really bethesda now you have ubisoft turning assasins creed into something pretty similar to it.
CDPR and ROCKSTAR are the two best gaming companies in our time.
Blizz was above them both until the past 2 years.
just my opinion.
For a long time, Blizz was the “golden goose” of gaming. They were the company that pulled games instead of launching something below their standards. Then D3 and the real money auction house happened. They are sadly losing their way…
I miss the Blizzard that cared about the games they made. They don’t give a crap about anything except squeezing every penny out of every consumer.
I wish P2W and microtransactions would vanish forever but apparently it’s too profitable to ignore.
Yup and Cyberpunk 2077 has had an open release date for AGES… and Im still looking forward to a Well Made Game thats taken its time to get here.
I remember when Blizzard cared about the people that played their games. I still don’t understand how you manage to make enough money to buy your own company back from vivendi and gain complete freedom to do whatever you want and then manage to become a worse company. Dark times.
Witcher 1-3 is a decent series if you like rpgs. I’m hyped as hell for cyberpunk 2077 myself.
This is also true. A lot of underrated companies or individuals Like Brevik making fun game that are still simple
