I haven’t been there in a long time, but every time I was there I would try using my flying mount to get away
there is also a similar quest in Azsuna where you get the weapons from behind the giant

I remember it
I always like racing ebonhorn in the questline where you unlock Azeroth essences first that first dragon scale, at the very end after you beat the big rock dude, ebonhorn runs back up to navarrogg and I love racing NPCs

I race Akama in Black Temple all the time. Not sure why, since it takes him and is goons 10 min of RP to open the door.

Fun fact: He’s actually very escapeable, but he will never stop chasing you.
You can potentially pull him all the way to Stormheim and get him to throw you into the ocean.
