I had to look at my details I was CCed 95% of the game. Being CCed 32 times in a short brawl. This is hard CC too not counting roots and snares. If you add that in then I was CCed over 70 times.
This is just to much and ruins the experience of players and they get turned off from PvP and then it becomes a ghost town. You really shouldn’t spend more than 5-10% of the time in CC.
Blizz really has to work on this. It’s just extremely oppressive not being able to move or play sometimes.
Add Snare/roots to DR table.
Have all CC DR with each other.
Remove all snares over 50%.
Increase CDs on CC
Remove Micro CC
Increase DR timer from 18 secs too 24.
Something has got to change if PvP is ever going to be better and not a complete MEME.
There is about 70% too much CC. It needs some more work so PvP happens.
You misunderstand. All CC should DR with another. Roots should DR stuns and other CC and vice versa. Fear should DR stun or Stun should DR Poly/Clone.
Get the picture good. Lets clean up PvP so some good PvP can happen. I’ve listed solid suggestions to clean up PvP so it’s a better experience and increases the skill cap.
PS - Poly/Clone should be on a 20 sec CD. Lets remove spammable CC.
This brings up another point on obnoxious CC. Shaman totem, Warrior spear and anything that yanks players multiple times should be on the list of CC that is removed.
Since Death grip would now DR with all other CC I’d change it to be an actual gap-closer where the DK is pulled to the target so they can have uptime.
People being able to play their characters is going to be a massive improvement and maybe someday PvP in this game won’t be a MEME compared to other games. We can improve PvP if we try.
Thats the point hes making. There’s so much CC in this game that people just throw it out because its off cool.
People would be a more careful about randomly ccing if it created unstoppable warlocks.
Bingo. This causes a terrible experience as there isn’t much counterplay or skill from an over abundance of CC and the amount of toxic CC right now.
Correct the skill cap would go up drastically. When or HOW you use your CC now matters. PvP actually happens. There still needs to be significant CC tuning in WoW for PvP to become competitive and a far better experience for everyone.
Other PvP games are far more competitive and serious than WoW for a reason. WoW is just behind on what PvP should look like which is why PvP participation is always low. We don’t get new players because it’s better for them to play other games. If nothing changes then nothing changes.
I know people who only play WoW think this is scary but in reality it’s better and that is why other games don’t have a ridiculous level of CC. There is just an obnoxious amount of toxic CC in PvP and it needs to change for the games health.
It doesn’t matter what someone is playing. Healer, Dps or Tank. The amount of CC is about 70% too high and lowers the skill cap so PvP can’t happen.
I’m sorry. You are wrong. No target should be CCed so much they can’t move or play. It’s why WoW PvP is a joke. We should want PvP in this game to get better.
Here are the changes
Spam CC shouldn’t exist and it’s crazy you think CC should be spammable. Until players are holding CC for the right moment to counter instead of spamming it. We have a huge problem.
No, it wouldn’t. SWTOR had a lot of problems, but one thing it actually got right was its battleground pvp. Every CC you got hit with filled up your Resolve Bar a bit. Once it hit full it would begin draining, but you were immune to all CC during that time. People would absolutely not just throw around CC indiscriminately, and did it with purpose.
It’s alway crazy to me when players suggest that spammable CC gets removed and we improve combat the people that come to defend bad design and want to keep it.
Poly/Clone not having a CD lowers the skill cap. Having such a high amount of CC and that it doesn’t DR with everything lowers the skill cap. There really is no other way to see it. Not only that it’s just bad combat and a bad overall gaming experience.
They should rebuff the Enduring Blood stone back up too 15% dmg reduction after being CCed until they clean up and balance CC to actually punish bad players just throwing around CC. (I don’t think enduring bloodstone is the answer though resolve would be better)
Players should be using CC 1-2 times a minute. Period. They should be holding it till it’s time to use it or counter. Using it incorrectly should cost them.
Cc has always been high in wow and if you don’t like it play a different game. I like wow and have played for 20 years. What gives you the right to demand a game change how it is fundamentally played and what makes it different than other games, when you could just play something else?
