while i get these were needed changes to make cc land, half of what made playing healer possible was the fact cc would break. With cc changes making poly and others no longer break on damage player healer is 90% ccd gameplay. DPS q times will probably skyrocket after a few weeks of this.
Lol cc shouldnât break just because someone sneezed on you lmao
but what if my sneeze was powered by a dragon
It just work like fear not blinding sheet.
Ehh in some cases it should tbh especially in the scenario its a spammable ccâŠ
Yes it should otherwise they become another stun aka sleet
Iâve been saying this for multiple expansions, and then the DF CC changes came.
CC, as other things in PvP (but really, more than other factors that are just as common in PvE) â should be tests of SKILL.
âLongâ (5, 6 seconds? Who has patience for that! lol), meaningful CC that requires having awareness, setting up and reacting to makes matches interesting. Nobody likes being disrupted by 10 âmicro-CCsâ. This empty M+ gameplay is what has been destroying PvP, turning it either into PvE at the lower end, where people canât learn because 1-2 GCDs is no time to react to KO burst⊠and on the higher end, itâs basically a competition for that one little CC where the PvE raid-boss pseudo burst turns up the dial from a constant 10 to a âsurpriseâ 11 âOOPSIEâ where the gearing shenanigans, procs and modifiers align and just delete somebody. Thereâs no skill in that. There, I said it. WoW DOESNâT WORK like an FPS. Thatâs why people quit. Make WoW an MMO again â includes putting back the thinking into it, the planning, the coordinating. If we wanna see competition increase, we need measures of skill that enable improvement to return.
Watching any PvP clip from before WoD, and to an extent before DF, shows it to be obviously why we had more fun.
Cookie-cutters and FoTM reliance, Bloated toolkits, lightning-fast gameplay, frequent stops =/= skill and fun
Letâs face it. After MoP, WoW has always done a poor job not just in retaining, but appealing to potential players. The playerbase is getting older, not younger. Thatâs another factor.
TL;DR trying to make WoW into something itâs not quickly incentivizes players to go elsewhere.
Omg this is the same guy saying mop vp was peak when it was mop the single worst expansion because of cc chains. Warbringer not drâing with shockwave is ine of the examples of âtests of skillâ?
Omg this is the same trolls as always⊠what a surprise?
Youâre trying to prove me at a contradiction, where thereâs none to be found.
Yes, MoP was peak because it achieved complex but cohesive and competitive class designs. They were bloated, but wholesome, and every class had ample counters to offer.
The class design since WoD had been more differentiating between classes, which made comp even more important than individual class choices (and FoTM more beneficial). The problem is that when every little special mechanic that can combo to kill someone is SLIGHTLY overtuned, the class becomes ridicolously OP. This is why we have such radical swings every patch, trying to minimize a crescendo of endless modifiers that canât be stopped unless the terrible, anti-agency, anti-MMO design is reverted. This companyâs stubbornness to revert bad changes is the reason this game has declined.
The people who support that THINK they enjoy the game because theyâve somehow managed to re-adjust, but theyâre willfully ignoring the elongating queues, stagnant LFG and the fact most players will never return to PvP because of the design they support.
Could you please write a response no longer than a single paragraph. Every single time you go yapping nonstop about god knows what. Stay on topic. Was MoP cc obnoxious yes or no
I will not reduce, evade and simplify.
No, MoP CC was fine, because you had ample time AND options to react with because damage needed a brain.
Literally just watch any clip. I stumbled across Legends of the Arena lately. What marvelous a thing to re-watch. A competition of actual skill unreplicable today. I even did some 1v2âs back in the day. Because theorycrafting, learning and applying had a proper curve value. Your time investment had outcome. That went away with the MMO feel.
Itâs astoundingly hilarious, how people feel danger when they need to use their mind to think about something at the level of design. But if they can learn to play it like NPCs, they join the cult of keeping that status quo while ignoring how much brain power it actually takes for a new player to jump in. Itâs very convenient, but not very inspiring.
This doesnât mean complexity, though. Thereâs nothing hard about pressing a 5 button PvE rotation or chunking in the occasional 4 sec CC. The problem is that people think PvP suddenly behaving like some twisted version of M+ PvE is OK.
A hyper version of everything where nothing of consequence happens but players flop because of things patch notes failed to address⊠Why? Because development clearly doesnât have PvP in mind these days.
If you boys cared more about the noise cold starting a V8 makes and less about the intricacies of goofballdom, we wouldnât be having this conversation.
It does break on damage, it simply doesnât break on any micro dmg anymore. If you get polied and stand in an orb or blizzard, you will still get instantly out of the dmg taken.
I also think that death is still enough self damage to break trap/poly/etc.
What CC changes I didnt play the game even before these so called changes I canât even notice any.
More yapping.
God bless your soul
Makes me smile every morning. Makes me feel bad for the neighbors when I have an early day and have to start it while theyâre in bed
More evading.
And Moralizing?
Wot?
Youâre just scared of the prospect of the game succeeding.
Do you feel like youâd have something to lose from that? sus
I didnt read a single word of your response. You just cant stop yourself from going on a rant eveey single reply. When you are ready to have a normal conversation , come back to me.
âGod bless youâ â proceeds to infantile narcissism?
Ok doki gnostic. Whatever you say, hermetic
Whatever makes you feel better, when youâre the only player left
These anti-MMO trolls will never have enough, but then they cry then the queues donât pop.
I dont cry, unlike others I dont sit watching my screen waiting a 20min queue, I actually engage in other in game activities or work/homework.
At least you didnt write an entire dissertation. Good job.
