Bad troll post over all though, I wont say you are wrong but my experience is much different and I have not seen an appreciable change in wait times in any of the three roles I play.

Remember: only signing up for one specific dungeon usually increases your wait time by a small amount in comparison to just choosing true random.

Devs should’ve tried to move an iLevel-adjusted Ruby Sanctum to Phase 3. Would’ve added another 30-45 minutes per mode; whereas with all the issues listed above, it seems unlikely P5 will change anyone’s mind about staying or returning.

Idk, and im not at all trying to start an arguement over it, i guess my experience is just far different, the relatively consistent “pug” I run with on one char on Sundays does 25m for a 3.5 hour run, always doing 5+ heroic, sometimes prog on a new one if the comp is right that week, and consistently on LK before that time expires. Worst case scenario id say a group should probably be finishing an ICC in about 4 hours if you’re doing prog on a new boss, imo and in agreement with sentiment I’ve seen quite a bit, if you’re doing prog it should be on one picked out boss that you put all your alloted prog time into, trying to get down the organization and consistency for a new heroic kill is enough of a hurdle, trying to do 3 or 4 new ones at once without beating the last just kinda means cutting practice time without result and working another half solved problem. If its like 6 or 8 hour runs and not wiping on the normal fights it kinda seems like the group either has people constantly going afk or is taking way too many breaks or is just taking forever and explaining a boss again after every wipe even though people should know it, if they don’t they’re the ones holding the group back consistently.

I like your ideas to help solve catchup and I’m 100% down for them. When I presented the issue of catchup mechanics this community, as it always does, absolutely poop’d on me like I never wanted to play the game but wanted everything instant, which is not true.

I had a discussion last night hanging out with a new rogue friend, that I’d love to roll a rdruid or feral on Whitemane where my rogue is. I immediately said no because the amount of time at this point to gear just doesn’t make it fun, even if you boost something to 80. Having to run 50-90 gammas to gear up, plus doing your arenas, just zaps the fun out of trying something new.

It wouldn’t be as bad if the game was more alive. I’m happy that people have SoD but for me that’s something I will never play, just like Classic Era or Classic Era Hardcore. Wrath is my jam.

Lastly, the idea of rerolling something and wanting to get into ICC and do that? By the time you’re up and running for heroic end game, we’re a month or two away from being done with Wrath.

It’s demonstrably true that ilvl 213 is fine for gammas.

Now you might want fast runs but that’s just you wanting to be carried. Nothing wrong with that there’s a reason i queue FOS.

I guess that stuff doesn’t really bother me, I try to help when I can and have only ever considered a VTK when someone was unresponsive while wiping the group, or when someone is just being malicious. That said, as a healer I do feel like I can carry most groups to the end of a dungeon even if it sometimes means someone is dying a lot individually.

Also I agree gamma is pretty easy with the buffs and a decent group, which is why i would like to see further difficulties with higher rewards.
